I read an article on Lids (can't remember where) but they asked Lids about being called for more penalties lately and asked if he was getting cranky in his old age. He said no, that they are just calling them more tightly.
-
Thanks! Kill the penalty, boys!
-
Talk to him Lilja!

2nd underway- keep it up, boys
-
That's what they said. I was shocked too. great job, boys!
-
don't mind me- I get excited over anything that may result in a fight. I'm just a pest, I am.

Downey and Ott having words! Hold on- more fun on the way!
-
They just had a shot of Homer practising this morning. He looks good. It will be good to have him back.
-
Nice pass- nice goal!

Maybe it's because Kronner doesn't shave, but is often a whipping boy around here.
-
That makes sense- if Sammy took shot after shot at me, I'd be a cross bar too. Dan, on the other hand, just has the bruises to look tough and intimidate the other team. That's why the camera shoots him from the injured side.

Dallas will score once in each period. Final: Wings 3 (Drake hattie); Stars 0. Go Dom! Go Wings!

He's a hockey player: Handsome (read: marketable), talented, down-to-earth, good leader. Imagine a Canadian Henrik Zetterberg.

This is such a win-win situation. We can find out if he has what it takes to make in back to the NHL. If he does, we know he'll be signing with the Wings; if he doesn't, it doesn't cost the Wings a cent to watch him and find out. No matter what our views and/or projections, I think it's great of Drapes to give him the chance to try. That's really all it is. It is now up to DMac. I have to admit that I don't have a great deal of rational hope that he has what it takes to come back to the Wings, but I do have the irrational hope. Sometimes, against the odds, dreams do come true.

I am not a movie person as I have trouble sitting for 2 hours, but I saw Miracle for the first time this weekend. I thought I'd pop it in whilst cleaning the house. The house is still dirty. Great movie. Must watch again before returning it. I should try Slap Shot.

I always answer that question with a resounding "yes", but now that I see that he's happy in Chicago, and they like him, and that he's playing better there (although that could be by comparison to his teammates), I have to agree that it was time for him to leave the Wings. Kind of like getting an invite to an ex-boyfriend's wedding. Bittersweet. Best of luck to him in Chi (unless they're playing us, natch) and all the best in his personal life and to his family.

Bagels are good. Especially if they are on the final scoreboard for the opposing team. Those kind of bagels lead to lox on the home ice advantage. Back to the article. So Kronner and Sammy wear tight pants. This is a problem? I demand photo evidence.

Happy Boxing Day to all who are celebrating! Wings will have to produce on all levels, but I think we'll be up to the task. Let's say Wings take it 5-3.
-
Aw, that's sweet. Beat 'em silly, boys.
-
OK, I blinked and missed it- was that Kronner in that fightlet?
-
Lil-ja's been getting to me too. Go Johan! And Cleary too!
-
The Minnesota Mild?
-
Poo. Cancel that cheer.

Dad says I jinx the Wings when I visit on days they play. To undo the jinx, I predict a Wild blowout. Wild win 71-2 (1 kicked in by a Wild defenseman and the other a Flip penalty shot).

Little sis, (big fan of Kariya) will be taping the game for me. I should know by her expression if he scores. Prediction for the night: A goalie will win against his former team. Out on a limb prediction: Said goalie will be wearing a Winged Wheel. Wings: Z, Dats, Kronner, Cheli Blues: Kariya (Paul's theme song, to the tune of "I guess that's why they call it the blues".) I guess that's why he signed with the Blues. Preds on the block, he had nothing to lose. Without Selane, one team's like another, Might as well play with his baby brother. And I guess that's why he signed with the Blues.
