It was more that the team didn't gel during the exhibition games. Then it was that Tatar gelled well with Kopitar and Hossa.

Hockey Night Heroes: Great Canadian Forwards.
55fan replied to cusimano_brothers's topic in Water Cooler
Oh, my goodness. Those are so cool! It makes me want to go back to Canada just to send myself postcards! Alas, I have no passport. -
We should draft a defense-playing giraffe. He might feel at home.
-
I expected Canada to win. If they'd won 4-1, I wouldn't be half as disappointed as I am now.
-
I think I'm going to cry, puke, or throw something.
-
Oh, Canada. You would.

I was not impressed with his comments about how this was better than the Olympics regarding Babcock's comment that the Olympics were a bigger deal to play in. (Paraphrasing) Bettman seemed to have idea about what it means to play in the Friggin OLYMPICS. He just went on about how this was better because it had more NHL players, NHL refs, NHL rules... blah blah blah. Dude, that doesn't make it better, nor a bigger deal. That just makes it NHLier. Aside from that, I didn't want to claw my ears off toooooooo badly.

That looked painful. Apparently the Wings need to get Hossa and Kopitar. Tatar does well with them.
-
He does not yet have a team. I thought someone would have taken him by now.

Go Wings! Hope to get home in time to find out from all of you how it went. For those of you who get to watch/listen, enjoy! -
That's our Tats! Congratulations to Team Europe on your second-place finish!* *Assuming they don't actually "shock the world".
-
Thanks. I did not know that. I don't pay too much attention to GR. Good to know Danny's in player development in his own way.
-
I tuned in late. Is Lundqvist injured?
-
I'm sad that he won't be playing for us, but glad that he won't be playing against us. He had a great run with us and gave us wonderful memories. I wish him nothing but the best. The person below me would retire right now if they could afford it.

Cleary has a legendary work ethic. He goes to camp. He shows the kids what a work ethic looks like. He fills an empty leadership role in the locker room and forward spot on the ice while Abby plays for USA, and then he goes on his way, either to GR, another team, or retirement. Since he's on a PTO, we're getting his services for free.

I've been watching Europe to kind of scout him. They said earlier that Detroit was going to love him. I believe we will. I've been watching so much European hockey that sometimes I'm forgetting to root for USA.
-
They're in high positions. They can make you a meatball you can't refuse.
-
I've already done the "like" part and will do the rest as far as Lions and Wings are concerned. The person below me has watched some of the World Cup.

I was just watching one of those youtube videos that you watch when you're bored that has bits of trivia. According to it, the term "no-brainer" was first attributed to Sid Abel. Cool.

I have. Unfortunately several people in my life have over-mastered it. After the 4th "You have a good one. I'll see you later." I get ready to pull the ghost act. The person below me spends way too much time goofing around on their computer.
-
Can't drink beer. Can't skate any more. Nope. Would be fun though. The person below me has had/is on a vacation.
-
Not lavender, but other scents. The person below me is going to have a little vacation this summer.
-
How did I not see this earlier? Congratulations! All the best to you and your family.
-
Never could stand the stuff. The person below me has just had a big disappointment.

Curling! Tuna salad or ham and cheese?
