    The person below me game...

I once parked too close to a fire hydrant and I once got a speeding ticket. The person below me leaves a light on in some part of the house at night.

    Darren McCarty Book Excerpts

I'm still in love. For those who don't understand us fight slappies (not talking about anyone in particular, just kind of a round-up of anti-fighting sentiments), this is what I love. Mac was a team player. He was a brother. Yes, he was the black sheep of the family, so to speak, but he was the protective brother. That's why we love the fighters. They're heart and soul. They'll do anything for those who are "theirs". It's not about how many fights they can have or even how many they win, it's that they see a need to stand up and protect those they love. Yeah, love. In a big-brother, family, give-my-balls-for-you kind of love. They're not just the police, although that analogy is as good as any. They're emotionally invested in the well-being of their teammates. When someone like that has your back, you're never alone. Mental note to self: Get this book.

Both are nice, but I like candles because they're more subtle. Use a bath towel more than once before laundering, or use it once and then launder it?

    The person below me game...

Not really. Anyone who I'd like to trade places with has to deal with issues I wouldn't want. Now if you mean someone else as in becoming a totally new person, then I'm ok with that as long as I get to pick the parameters. The person below me has had the mumps.

I'll take the hot coals. I hear that if you do it right, you can escape unscathed due to the build-up of ash. Cut your own toenails or get a pedicure?

The only wild animals I have trouble with are mosquitoes. (What...they're not domesticated, therefore they're wild.) The person below me thinks that they are better than they actually are.

    The person below me game...

Nope. I don't put that much effort into my food. The person below me wonders why on earth Kelly Pickler was on the NHL float in the parade.

Shea Weber leaves game with Injury

I hope he fully recovers with no long-term effects and that we beat his arse on the ice.

    The person below me game...

I do. I mostly just use my cell to text because it's dirt cheap and I have free long distance on my landline. Having a landline also gives me a number to give to people I want to ignore since I have caller ID and an answering machine so they can call me without using my minutes. The person below me has leftovers from yesterday.

    This or That

Depends on what it is. Some things are better home made. Other things have been perfected by automation with no work on my part. Stuffing? Home made every time (as long as it's made by me or my mother). Apple or pumpkin pie?

IMO maybe the law should be brought into it.

If player X and player Y are playing a hockey game and it goes beyond the accepted perameters of the rules, the league has the option to step in and suspend and/or fine the player(s) involved. If player X is sleeping with player Y's wife and player Y goes ballistic on the ice, then we might have a cause for concern because it has gone beyone the confines of the game. If the law is to be brought in (as the outsiders that they are), it should be only in cases where the activity is the product of, or is preceeded by, outside influences.

Ramen, not that there's a whole lot of difference. Stuffing from a baking dish or from inside the bird? (Or as our family calls them, "wet stuffing" or "dry"?)

    The person below me game...

I am constantly bothered by it. They're three different words. If people would just look at their meanings, the spellings would come naturally. There is no connection between the three other than pronunciation. The words themselves are as different as can't, count, and c***, and you don't see people running about mixing them up. The person below me has so many passwords that they c*** can't them all and thinks that they're a pain in the count.

Recliner. Slippers, shoes, socks, or bare feet around the house?

Miller, old chap! Good to see you! You've been such a stranger. Do stop in more often. I have no such fear. In fact, I consider eating peanut butter a great feat of daring-do. The person below me has had at least one snowfall this fall where they live.

    Passport to visit Windsor?

My parents went to Alaska in the summer of 2007. They had ordered passports, but they came the day after they left. They were allowed to pass through Canada due to a grace period that was agreed upon by the two countries because of the number of people applying for passports due to the new law. Based on this, I'm going to guess the summer of 2007. Heck, I've never had a passport and I've lived in Canada, although that was back when the Leafs were Stanley Cup Champions, so that may have changed things.

    Varlamov Arrested

It's actually not unheard of for people to be suspended whilst an investigation is on-going, especially if they're in the public eye. It helps the organization go on without having the distraction of the person in question being there, and it makes them look as if they're "doing something", which is important. Suspension with pay is not the end of the world. One good friend of my dad's had to take early retirement due to false allegations, but another one was guilty as sin and it was good that they got rid of him when they did. I guess there's no sight like hindsight. In sports, they're already in the limelight. This isn't a case of a nobody suddenly becoming a household name solely because of the accusations. No good comes out of things like this regardless of what happened, what is happening, and what will happen.

    Varlamov Arrested

That is my question. You'd think that her lawyer would have advised her against it. She's either not very bright about it or the Russian justice system is very different from ours. Either way, you don't go about giving interviews if the case is not settled. Of course, her agent might have advised her to talk. Who knows? It is free publicity, and that would be something an agent might try to exploit.

****(Stuff) no one says about the Wings

The only reason the Wings were so good last decade was because they tanked and got all those superstars off of high draft picks.

Babcock needs to visit Donald Trump's hairdresser. Those Wings fans are like sheep- they never question their GM or coach.

    What is Samuelsson's role?

To ward off band-wagon fans. To keep armchair GM's and coaches from becoming bored. To keep the team's IKEA Multi-Swede Discount Card active. To show us up when he goes on a hot streak during the SCF.

    11/24 GDT: Red Wings 3 @ Sabres 1

I got up to watch the game last night and have not been to bed yet. Please, Wings, get so far ahead that if I fall asleep during the game it won't matter. And keep it that way. Thanks
