Go with Kronner. He won that one once in like the 83rd round or whatever it was. Dats and Bert for sure. I'll have to see Alfie and Weiss to judge them, but Z isn't fabulous in shootouts, and I can't recall how Mule is. Is he used that rarely, or am I just losing my memory- or maybe repressing bad memories? I'd like to see how Nyquist does, assuming they re-sign him. 3-2-1-0 for points. 3=win. 2=shootout win. 1=shootout loss. 0=loss. My only addition is that to get the loser point, the losers have to go through the bitchslap line before they can go through the handshake line.

So this is #7. Think he can get 6 more in before he retires? You know- just to set another record? Too bad about the KHL years. He could have gotten in more then. -
I remember reading that somewhere too. The gist of it was that he needed to back off because one of the owners/GM's/coaches was upset that he had lost so many guys/important guys/whatever due to suspensions. I also remember that it was one of those "sources that speak on conditions of anonymity" type of things, so who knows how reliable it was. It could be fact, but I read it on the internet, so the usual grains of salt need to be applied.

Then Columbus to complete the Tour du Metro? -
Which means in 15 years he'll marry a Kardashian?

I guess I don't follow basketball enough to know that. I like football, so I follow it, but it cheeses me to see these guys who have it all throw it away like that. Yes, I feel the same way about hockey players who've done that too. At least we still have baseball. I don't follow that either, but there can't be any drugs in something so wholesome that's as all-American as apple pie and hot dogs, right? Um. Right?

No point in making a Mt. Rushmore for football. They're all stoned already.

Red Army?
-
Ok, back on track... They could have put Colorado in the west (giving them 8 teams) and put the Florida teams in the middle (with Colorado gone, this would bring that to 8), then moved Columbus up with the northeast (giving us 7 and the central atlantic 7).

It's the Red Wings site. They have Crosby on one side, Chara on the other, and Z in the middle. Kind of like a mother encouraging her beautiful daughter to choose her ugliest friends as bridesmaids so the bride will look even more beautiful than usual on her big day. Or, for you guys- having your ugliest friends as wingmen so you get the hot chick you're after because you're obviously the best catch of the night. Marketing, and nothing more.

Let's be honest: East, West, Central, and Goulash.

Um, OK, not really sure this'll have the desired effect

That killed me. -
Go to the upper right hand corner where you see your name with an arrow next to it. Click there and look for "manage ignore prefs".

Good read. For me, the Sawchuck-Lindsay-Lidstrom triangle is the toughest one. Howe and Yzerman are locks, of course. Loved the Sedin choice. Good call.

Don't they have the Metropolitans on the wrong side of the country? Shouldn't they be on the west coast? I don't know. I'm still trying to wrap my head around going from the "west" to the "atlantic" without moving the city.
-
Metropolitan? Seriously? Why not something like Northeastern? Or if you're going to get away from geographical, why not Up There, Down There, Over There and Way Over There? I'd almost rather see Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Leonardo. Or Laa-laa, Dipsy, Tinky Winky, and Po. Ok, maybe not that last one.

Don't the Blackhawks add a feather for each win? Pretty sure Toews adds a mustache hair.

Guys need to pretend that their opponents aren't wearing helmets. If you're actually concerned about giving him a concussion, you're less likely to give him one. They'll happen no matter what- that's the nature of a fast-paced, hard-hitting game- but nothing will lower the total more than the guys remembering that they're hitting a head inside that helmet.

I'm not into soccer at all, so it leaves me kind of underwhelmed. I'm sure if it had some significance for me, it would be cool. Maybe this means that each sport should cultivate its own traditions, which mean something in that sport, rather than using another sport's ideas.

Yeah, that would kill the whole "blue line". Which makes me wonder- If yellow and blue make green, and yellow and red make orange, do we now have green and orange lines? And what colour is the crease? -
Thank you! This will be a wonderful hit. I'm jonesing, babe... Jonseing for hockey.

To Detroit: Ryan Miller To Buffalo: Jonas Gustavsson, Cory Emmerton, Drew Miller, Mikael Samuelsson, Ville Leino, and an autographed copy of "How I Finally Won a ******* Cup" by Dominik Hasek Then when they remind us that we no longer have Leino and they do, we'll laugh maniacally.
-
The Leino part cracked me up too.

Not sure which was greater- the funny-ness or the annoying-ness. I like Miller.
