Just my personal opinion, and I realize that others don't have to share it, but I feel that Torts is easier to look at.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! He was my favourite condescending media-snipper. Who's gonna make reporters look like fools now? Plus the team might play better, and that sucks too.

Makes sense to me. Better ratings, and if it ends after 5 games (call that an average), you get the weekend crowd. If not, it will be an elimination game, and people will tune in during the week no matter what. I bet the players are happy for a day or two to rest as well.

I suppose they have to go with what's scheduled in the respective venues. From what I've heard (read: not a reliable source) they have to keep so many days per week open until they are eliminated so that there can be at least 3 or 4 possible days each place throughout the playoffs. Not sure if they specify one night each weekend or not, but that would make sense.

I heard that the Kings will be playing either Saturday or Sunday depending on who they play. Not sure the story on that. I guess it depends on where they are playing.

That was a long time ago. I'm sure now that he's played with real NHL players, he's got over the big-fish-in-the-small-pond syndrome. Not to say that he may not be a wiener now, just that he's had ample time to change, and if anything can give a d-man a reality check, it's skating with Nick Lidstrom.

No one said he hates the Wings. We're laughing at the fact that he said it so many times in such a short period of time. Even the other guys had a laugh when all was said and done. Haven't you ever mis-spoken and later felt silly? We all have. So he's feeling silly now. I don't think anyone's holding it against him. It's just funny.
