Pretty much. The person below me uses reusable grocery bags.

Soylent Green is people! The person below me had a blankie when they were a baby.

Definitely. If we all put half the effort into doing good that we do into doing evil/nothing/nothing important, the world would be a better place. (Says the girl posting in the water cooler of a hockey site) The person below me gets queasy when they are tired.

Not fond of duck. A bit gamey for me. The person below me has tape over the camera on their laptop frame so people can't see them. (Just found out about this yesterday. Spyware can turn on your camera and the mods can see you!)

That makes total sense.

gdt WCQF Game 7 GDT - Red Wings 3 @ Ducks 2 - (DET wins series, 4-3)

You're warped, Gord. I'd hate to see what you'd do with Rocky Horror. Wings must win this one. (Duh) I want to see EVERY SINGLE WING with at least 10 shots on goal (preferably not the one with Jimmy in the crease) and I want to see EVERY SINGLE WING playing strong defensively. I also want to see Bert bite off Perry's head and spit it out, but since that would be at least a 4 minute penalty, I'd like to see it when we're up by no less than 12 goals, although with the officiating we've been seeing, he might just get away with it. -
Do they still have Pearce? I think he's still around.
-
Delightful. Perry makes a perfect Crumb, and while I usually find Getzlaf quite sexy, that vacant look is totally Fortuna-like. Gold star for you!

Yeah, um, about the truck... You know you gave it to Johan, who enjoyed playing with it. Drew also loved it. Unfortunately, Drew tended to love his toys in a more destructive way. He had plenty of chew toys, but he chose his other toys and his cage as chew toys over his actual chew toys. The truck was his favourite. I had to remove it for his safety after it got so chewed up that I was afraid he would ingest plastic. Needless to say, I didn't save it. I still have the little tv set you gave Nik. That has survived Drew and has been enjoyed by hamsters since the time of Nik. It's in the play cage, which I haven't attached to the regular cage yet. I'm letting Jordin get accustomed to his surroundings first. He's such a little guy that I don't want to overwhelm him. Plus, when I do give it to him, it will be a surprise present.

Ok. Wonder if it's Cleary. I wondered why Sammy was on the 4th line rather than on the second, where he has shown that he would excel. Maybe Cleary is a game-time decision? Or this is a ruse and he'll be out, but they didn't want to show their true lines yet? Or, as you say, if Cleary can't finish the game, Sammy could step up, but frankly, if I had doubts about Cleary finishing the game, I'd sit him and say, "Sorry, it's the playoffs. I need to roll 4 lines all game, especially with our tendency to go to OT." BTW, I regret that I could give your post about "fear leads to hate, etc." only one like. I'd have given it 10 if I could. -
No wonder I still say "like" every sentence and "you know" sometimes, but not as much. The youngsters say "I know, right", which I find really annoying when I'm training people at work. Me: Don't tell me "I know", you know? I'm the one who knows, you know? You don't know, I do know, you know. That's why I'm teaching you, you know? Them: I know, right? As far as "um" goes, a pastor once told me that at the seminary they would practice giving sermons and when someone would say "um", everyone else would yell "UM UM UM UM UM" until they all got out of the habit. It was practice for public speaking, and since it was done in good fun, they all looked forward to that class. I don't think most of the guys practice giving interviews, but I remember reading that Kopitar's grandmother taught him English by interviewing him in English after every game he played since he was a kid. She thought it would be good for him to learn the language, and that this was a fun way for him to do it. Good call, Grandma!

From the link a few posts back: Can anyone explain this to me or is there a typo or something in it? I have a problem understanding things of which I can't make grammatical sense. Edited to fix my own grammar. -

He stated in the OP that the lines would be updated as they become available. This is a huge game for us. Sometimes the GDT has to come up early so we all have a place to come and get our mojo going, even if the lines aren't finalized. Flashy and Mike have it worked out. It will be updated asap. No worries. Until then, it is most interesting to speculate who will be the one sitting. (There's a thread, but I'm too lazy to post a link. I'm sure you can find it.) Huge game. Good to be rocking. I'm PUMPED! Go Wings! -

By the Fists of Andreas, WE SHALL BE VICTORIOUS! I hope. -
Since he was with GR at the end of the season (not sure when the deadline is) they have dibsies on him for the playoffs. If they're out, we get him. The only way we get him up early is if we have no other options in the press box. So, with Abby back, three forwards have to get injured (or suspended). I'd rather wait for next year to see Tatar cuz you can't pick who gets injured.
-
Not bad at all. Fil has been playing better defensively than offensively. With Eaves and Bert, both of whom showed spark last game, that would be a good third line with potential for scoring. I'm a bit concerned about the 2nd line, but whatchagonnado?
-
Samuelsson on the top line tonight - god help us all !

As a fan of Sammy, it behooves me to point out that he scored. I just wish that someone else had scored after he did. -
Emmerton wouldn't be a bad choice if you had Abby centering, the bottom line, but if Abby's going back with Pav and Z, who would you have on the bottom line? I have to admit, I hadn't thought of Em. I thought briefly of Andersson, but really don't want to break up that line since they've been so good. If it's Z-D-Abby on top, and Gus-Andersson-Nyquist on the 3rd, who's on 2nd and 4th? (And why is this starting to sound like an Abbot and Costello routine? Or maybe an algebra problem.) Emmerton is certainly an idea that merits consideration.
-
Eaves played with spunk and fire. Bert has been looking good. Sammy scored. Cleary was boarded. Maybe he needs rest. (I'm dreaming.) No matter who he sits, there will be arguments for another. My money's on Sammy sitting despite scoring. We still have Tootoo in the box as well for forwards, as well as White and Cola for d-men. No Griffs, but still some good depth. Not to mention, good veteran experience to advise the young ones on the ice, even if the advice is, "See him? Don't do that."
-
I really can't comment on Subban and Letang because I don't watch much East stuff, but as one living in the Wild area, I watch quite a few Wild games. If anything Suter should get the "most improved" award. He's looking good right now, but at the beginning, he wasn't anything to write home about. I have to say that the quality of Norris candidates has dropped without Nick in the lineup.
-
I beg to differ, my good sir, but the answer is, "<expletive of your choice> NO!"
-
Given that Bert isn't 100%, and how well Toots, Eaves, and Emmy did together, I'd play Toots over Bert. Sorry Bert. No offense intended.
