If you can't see the difference between those two plays, then there isn't much anyone on here can do for you, but I'll take a quick stab at it. Regardless of whether Ozzy's situation with Staal was intentional or not there is a huge difference between getting a stick to the face and a skate to the head... There is a blade on that skate and it should never intentionally come anywhere near that part of the body... just ask Zednik.

You forgot that we render the ice completely unplayable by covering it with cephalopod carcasses.

The puck bounced into the netting in the Wing's zone, which should have stopped the play. Seconds later Z got the puck and broke to the other end and scored. The broadcaster has the facts straight, but I don't like how dismissive he is about it... Every team gets good and bad bounces, the difference is how you play when it happens. You pounce on the chances and ignore the bad breaks. That's the game.

I believe "Doc" was referring to the act itself, not the person committing the act, therefore no it's not name calling.

We had them down by three in that game... we didn't come close... we had it buttoned up and done. Then we decided to let the Pens back into the game, either that or if you'll believe the rumblings... the refs let them back in. Either way we had them down and out and all we had to do was play solid hockey for twenty minutes, but we couldn't even keep the puck out of our zone. It seemed like every time we had the puck and a chance to clear we failed. What is that quote that we loved so much last year? "Time in zone creates confusion" or something like that... well the Penguins were obviously listening. The bottom line is that we need to get better at locking it down. I'm scared to death everytime the other team pulls their goalie, and have been since last year.

I think I'm following what you're saying here... what you're saying is that we should have someone pull a Nancy Carrigan on Mr. Samuelson... I like the way you think, a little bit brutal but I like it...

I noticed the same thing and it was a bit freaky to watch...

The very first time I saw this commercial I thought it was cool... it was a fresh idea, and was funny to watch. Then I saw it again, and again... in fact every game I've watched the past few weeks has had this freaking commercial in it, in at least every other commercial break... Now I understand that it's advertising the Center Ice Package and it currently being run during the free preview, so that I can overlook. But what watching it a thousand times has brought to my attention is the fact that it is totally disrespectful to the Current Champions of the Sport it is advertising (at least in my opinion)... The guy is not only a die hard Penguins fan but the clips they show him watching, give the impression that the Penguins totally dominated the Wings. Practically all the plays they show are "pro Penguins" including many hits and even a goal... Look, I don't mind the guy in the spot being portrayed as a Penguins fan, I'm a die hard (Wings) fan myself and the sport needs more of them, for every team, but at least show a decently accurate representation of the series the guy's supposedly watching... I get the feeling that even if we DO repeat nothing is going to change. Personally, I have been building a level of respect for the Penguins, and Crosby, but this kind of crap makes me hope they don't make the playoffs again until they stop trampling all over the rest of the league to fight over who gets to fondle sid's ego next. As I've said before this may just be my opinion. Here is the link... you decide:

Isn't that the whole point of a Championship? GLORY... Isn't that what all the "The Cup Changes Everything" advertisements were all talking about? If some other team gets to share the glory of our win... what makes winning so special? The bigger point is why did they have to bastardize OUR games, why did they have to paint Crosby's face on our Mona Lisa? Why not some other game, against some other team... maybe a team the Penguins could actually dominate... why are we ok with misrepresentation of history?

Thanks Did you catch the octopus in there as well? I tossed that on the ice for Game 4 of the Conference Finals vs the Stars... Hank scored shortly afterward unfortunatley we didn't win that one.

I got tossed for throwing one in the beginning of the third period of Game 4 of the Wings v Stars series. The Wings Scored 40 seconds later, as I was being escorted out of the building. Here's a shot for confirmation.

I don't know if I would say that... think in terms of next year and near future, if he goes to a team where he actually gets ice time, he could get more money in the near future where as if he goes to a team where he gets little or no chance to prove himself, how much of a bump is he going to get, if any. Another question is; does he see himself as a person who can make a team "great" on his own, by carrying it all on his shoulders or does he want to be part of a great team, where he shares the responsibility, ice time and glory?

The way I see it it's a badge of honor, a battle scar. When I wear my jersey to a bar or to an areana to watch a game it's my armor, and every chili dog stain, every black ink mark is just another memory... these are not tuxedos we are talking about here, folks. They are OUR Jerseys they are meant to see action, and when you think about it years from now you'll be able to look at your jersey and say "this mark here, is from the year we swept the Avs on the way to the cup, and the best they could think to do was write on me, because their team sucked on the ice, and they needed to throw a tantrum". With out the battle scars it's just the same as every other jersey out there, I wear those battle scars with pride, for they are what make it MY JERSEY, and no one else's.
