I have WOW and called tonight to order. It's not available yet and they said to check back next week. They are still negotiating and not sure if they will have it this year. Centre Ice is also listed on my on-screen t.v. guide. It's been there all summer.

I have had the opportunity to see Grigenko at training camp, at the season ticket holder skate last Friday and I attended the pre-season game on Tuesday night. I was not impressed at all at training camp. I saw improvement last Friday and again on Tuesday. I'd give him a chance. I think it's going to take time, but I think he will contribute.

I just checked the Centre Ice Internet schedule and tonight's game is not listed. Thursday's night's game is listed but shows it's blacked out. I would assume that's for the Detroit area??

No t.v. coverage. I will be at the game.

No Matter What, Grigorenko Staying Stateside…I Think
96warrior replied to Son of a Wing's topic in General
I attended the season ticket holder open skate this morning and then Kenny Holland had a "greet and meet". A man in the audience asked about Grigorenko and I got the impression from Holland that every opportunity would be given to Grigorenko to make the team. With that being said, I was in TC last weekend and saw him skate. I thought he looked much better in this morning's skate. -
I also believe Kopecky was kept out of last night's game because of a groin injury.
-
MLIVE reports: Defenseman Brian Rafalski (hip) won't play tonight's home exhibition opener but should be ready to go in a few days. Center Tomas Kopecky hurt his groin Thursday (he wasn't slated to play in the game) and won't play Friday's home game vs. Pittsburgh, but it's nothing serious.

I think I read that Howard has lost 20 pounds. I'm impressed. I didn't think the quality would be this good.

I'm back from three days at training camp and agree that Grigs was very slow. Every time he passed Babcock during practice Babcock was yelling at him to go faster. I will say that once he got to the net, he looked great. I am not writing him off. I do think a few weeks in Grand Rapids will help. I also noted that Datsyuk certainly tried to help. They always found each other and Datsyuk would tell him what he needed to do. I noticed Downey the first day and agree. He certainly is giving it his all to make the team. My picks after training camp to make the team are Downey and Sopel. I think both would be great additions.

Okay, I'm answering on how to get to Cobo off of 94. Take 94 to the Lodge and stay to the left. Pass the Howard Street exit in the left lane and proceed under Cobo Hall. At the light (Washington Boulevard), turn right and go to the first light and turn right. That's the entrance to Cobo Hall. There is an elevator that takes you up to the main level and you can proceed to the Joe.

We drove up early and are in Grayling tonight, heading to Camp in the morning for three days. We are staying at the Grand Traverse Resort. Unfortunately, we have to pass on the cocktail invite because we are meeting friends who we met at camp our first time, 2003. Make sure to ask the volunteers the schedule because they go back and forth between the two rinks. Enjoy!

The Tigers play at home next Sunday and Comerica Park is not available. I think the charity game against the Tigers' alumni can only happen if the Tigers are away. The game is always played the Sunday before the Wings' head for training camp.

Remember to vote for the Wings' logo today.

The Detroit location is about a mile from the Joe but you can easily hop on the People Mover to get back and forth.

I think we would know by now. Last year the Tiger's were on a road trip the weekend before training camp. I think there is just a limited time frame when the players return to the area and then they leave for training camp. I agree. We had a great time last year and we were looking forward to this year. We may be surprised. I also read that the Champions' Challenge was the biggest Ilitch fundraiser so I can't imagine they would want to miss a year.

I ordered my tickets the last week in July last year. I agree. We had a great time last year.
-
I would say no. I think the problem is that the Tigers are playing at home the weekend before the team heads to training camp. I think the window is small before training camp and they can't use the stadium. I went last year for the first time and loved it.

According to MLIVE, Markov is seeking between $3.5 and $4 million per year.

I faxed in my order on Sunday morning at 7:17 a.m. for tickets for all three days (friday - Sunday) and received an e-mail on Tuesday mid-morning that my order was fulfilled. If I recall from last year, you then get a second e-mail closer to camp that you print out and present for your tickets. Good luck!!

Per TSN - $5.5 to $5.75 million.
