I concur. It's always a slippery slope with things like this, I think it was wrong to say what he said, but at the end of the day the player in question is now out of that organisation. I don't quite agree with people saying that he needs thicker skin but then have nothing against them voicing their opinions. It's slippery in the way that if we all say people can't use offensive language, etc (just as a topical example), then people are always going to come down on either side of "right" or "wrong". If we say that someone is wrong for their opinion on a matter then it starts off a whole new argument.

Great news Just quickly I was under the illusion that most, if not all, left handed shooters are right handed. I'm a lefty and shoot right. Isn't it the dominant hand that stays on the stick and the weak hand is placed lower? I honestly did take this the wrong way and thought you were suggesting we hate MEMBERS of LGW... then I saw mindfly on there Would have said Williams as he was just plain bad and didn't like him when he was here, but he's not our problem now. So Crosby. It's kind of a vote for Bettman as well as I'm sure it'll hurt him deep down.

On the video the commentator said that it's irrelevant if it hits the defender or the goaltender as it was played with a high stick. Not too sure though, I guess as they can't be credited for the goal it comes back to the last offensive player to touch it, which was done so with a high stick. Would be different if he had thrown it in with his glove, but wouldn't think so for a deflection.

Thought as much. Stupid rule though.

Indeed it does, don't see where it could be going however, unless they didn't want JMac up for too long. Am I right in thinking that spending too long on an NHL roster means you need to clear waivers to go down? EDIT: This is what I was thinking of...

The other sucky thing there. No matter if you're wrong or right at least come out and say WHY you made the call. It's not an on-ice official's fault that Toronto screwed up so, in cases like this, officials could at least say something like "Oh from my position on the ice it did seem a good goal. If it wasn't, I'm sorry, I'm only human, and it's Toronto that you need to take it up with." I'd have a lot more respect for them if they actually spoke.

Terrible call. But the worst thing?! The ice-level reply from behind Hanzal... puck goes in, directly between Hanzal and the goal, behind the glass, a girl celebrates by jumping up and down in a Pens jersey? Awful

I can honestly say that if I had spent the first few years watching anyother broadcaster, I don't think I'd have liked hockey as much. Kenny and Mickey have great chemistry and the occasional debate leads to great television viewing! Well done Ken!

They are probably subject to change I guess, balance them out so Salei isn't always with Kindl or another GR player. But they look alright.

He just needs to look aHEAD. Don't let his mind get away from him. That's my poor humour for the day.
