Don't quite know who'll agree with me here but from what I saw this season, and even in the off-season, Valtteri Filppula showed real promise for the future. if only he could be given some more ice-time he could prove to be deadly. although i dont know who he'll line up with.

I've gotta say... I've only been a Red Wings fan for about the last two/three years. We don't get to see much hockey here in the UK and I've only just turned 17 so I was pretty young when I started watching. It was probably Yzerman and Shanahan who got me hooked. But hey recently I've got more hockey under my belt thanks to the NHL website and have been able to watch and listen to games ever since. No doubt I'll be a Wing for many years to come, and hopefully my kids too.

Plus i agree with the above quote. If anything the Wings have recently become one of the teams criticised for not being physical enough during the post-season, and unless they do they won't win the playoffs for a while. However they did step up this year and came out more physical than before.

Not really about Hudler but what do you all think of Schneider's replacement Brian Rafalski? I know he's from Michigan and so will have a passion for the team but anyone recon his ice performances will ever match Mathieu's?
