no he hasn't - it more speaks to how horrendous Lebda is, opposed to how great Raffi has been...
-
As long as he's playing... Rafalski at 20% > Lebda
-
I'd go one further and say that 50-55 should be the max for any starter, considering he's probably going to need at least another 20-25 to win a Stanley cup and the fatigue factor on goalies is very clear... Kipper will never win a cup for that very reason, they play him too much and when it comes to play important games, he's out of gas...
-
I thought it was a kicking motion, but with that said, I thought the one that went against us in game 3 was a kicking motion too and that one was ruled as forward momentum and a good goal... just another pathetic joke of inconsistency by the NHL...
-
but Keith and Seabrook will be neither of those... they are the CORE of their defense... I'm sure they'll get someone to take Campbell's bloated contract by attaching someone like Versteeg or Sharp to the deal, for little in return, basically trading cap space for value... Sharp and Campbell to Carolina for high picks, prospects and maybe someone like Alexandre Picard in return? I could see something like that happening... Carolina gets a bonafide top 6 guy and a top 4 D and Chicago gets some prospects and high picks and a ton of cap relief... makes sense to me...
-
No chance - There's no way in HELL he EVER even sniffs FA... Chicago will re-sign him.
-
The KHL just had it's largest team fold and is about to fold as a whole league... no way they can afford him now, some NHL team will give him 9 a year and 9 a year living in the US > 12 a year in Russia anyway... 6 pts in 5 games... I'd hardly call that a choke... UFA, but we can't afford him UNLESS Nick retires... no way possible... with that said, I never want to see the day come where Nick retires, but if it HAS to come, Kovy would be a nice consolation prize...

their bias was disgusting to listen to for a "national" broadcast team... like the "high-stick" from Fisher, where Orpik CLEARLY hit his nose on Fisher's helmet and never even came NEAR the stick and they were ranting and raving about how it better be 4 minutes for the blatant high stick... not to mention how excited they got over EVERY Pens hit... pathetic.

Indeed, he definitely doesn't look the same and whether it truly is fatigue, or just apathy, I think there's a good chance he hangs them up soon, if not this off season, next... he's definitely not the same Martin Brodeur from 5 years ago
-
possible... it is nice to have a summer off, especially after you've already won 3 Stanley Cups... although I don't think that is the case, as Marty is one hell of a competitor and goaltender, I'm sure subconsciously it happens a little...
-
my thought too... as was already pointed out, Phi killed them in the season series, but when they got Kovalchuk, I thought they were going to tear it up... with this early exit, I bet he tests FA now...
-
Thanks for looking out!
-
great game... if the Sens had played with that much heart all round, they wouldn't have been down to an elimination game in game 5 in the first place...
-
start "liking" it up people... only 269 for Pavs and only 271 for Hank - that isn't right... here let me make it easier on you: Players: http://www.nhl.com/ice/playersearch.htm?team=DET - just click on the individual player and click the "Like" button after their profile loads Team: http://www.nhl.com/ice/teams.htm#?nav-tms-main - This is for the team itself

learn something new every day... I always thought it was a nominee vote, then winner vote scenario for ALL the NHL awards... good to know moving forward, thanks for the heads up

Mike Babcock is an embarrassment to the NHL

just another no-name jock trying to make a name for himself, I wouldn't read too into it... -
oh... I thought just the nominees got voted for prior - thank you for the clarification! This makes it a little more dicey then, but with Jimmy's play down the stretch, I still think he deserves it over Myers, but wouldn't be incredibly surprised if Myers won...
-
I know the playoffs aren't suppose to affect the voting, but I think the voting is always affected by it... I think it will all depend on this first round, if Buffalo can come back and win their series (not likely), I think Myers wins it, if not, regardless of other outcomes, Jimmy wins it... in my opinion, he deserves it regardless, that's just what I think WILL happen...
-
wow, just wow... as I have said in prior threads, I think the KHL will cease to be within the next couple years, they're not spending within their means and cannot compete with the NHL for talent and this will be a most likely fatal blow...
-
I love AO for the most part, but that was pretty classless... with that said... it made me laugh... I'm a horrible human being... I know.
-
pretty cool little feature... for how behind the curve the NHL is when it comes to everything else marketing related, they've really done one hell of a job with the website...
-
I bet it be even higher than that if the games were all broadcast on NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox, simultaneously, thus taking over all major over the air networks at once...
-
that was one rockin' crowd last night!

beauty.
