I wouldn't be upset, but I would like to see the Dave and Mickey team re-united for a game on NBC as a one time thing, that'd be kinda cool... with that said, Ken Daniels is as good as they get, so any national broadcast pales in comparison to what we get throughout the year on FSN anyway...

St. Louis has been trying to find a bonafide #1 for awhile... like I said, I don't have anything to substantiate it and I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up in the East, or anywhere else to be honest, I just have a gut feeling he is going to end up a Blue...

Draper-Abs-Miller would be ideal... but Babs is not likely to scratch Willy, expect lines to stay as they are until we lose or if someone gets banged up... Abs will definitely be the first one into the lineup though...

Couldn't script this stuff... down to one last weekend, home and home against Philly, essentially deciding the 8th spot... I have faith that Boston will win against Carolina and at least take 1 pt against Buffalo or Wash while those teams rest starters and are already playoff bound... So that will come down to Philly and NY for the 8th spot - basically a mini-playoff series before the playoffs, should be a great couple of games I personally hate Phi (Pronger, Carcillo, Lappy, ned I go on?) and am really pulling for NY to pull this off...

starts tonight... should be some REAL good hockey, of course I'll be watching my beloved Wings, but I'll be following this one closely during intermission/breaks

The Flyer's are a joke, almost every player on that team plays with no respect or honor... you don't have to be goons to play physical and stand up for yourself and/or your teammates - look at this years Avalanche, Canucks, Sharks, etc... I'm pulling for the Rangers and if for no other reason, think it would be a fascinating story: go into the weekend needing 4 points and making the playoffs on a home and away mini-series... exciting hockey.

So... I guess the question is, who do you hate more... I actually like the Rangers out of teams from the East and recognize that it is good for the NHL for a team from NY to do well...

He was wandering around again too much... needs to stay back more and only jump in when a forward has him covered... he better play Friday... we still won with him in and Lebda is such a horrible downgrade, there's no reason he shouldn't play...

I actually like the way the new style Avs play the game... I still hate Foote and it would take MUCH less to start hating them again than another team, but as things stand right now, I enjoy the Avs game... there are really only 6 participants still around from the rivalry, and 4 are here (Maltby is LTIR and hardly counts)... so no real reason to hate them now, unless you hate the jersey... For the record, I am a die-hard and have been following the wings for over 20 years...

have you ever been to a hockey game at the Palace? It is not setup for hockey... and, no, the ice isn't ALWAYS there at the Joe and the floor isn't always there at the Palace, but the tear down/set-up is much less frequent than 2 sports that run during the SAME season and have FREQUENT games... much different toll on the surface(s)...

it's starting to look more and more like the Palace for at least a couple years... ugh... I HATE the Joe by this point, it's old, dilapidated and needs to be put to rest, but the Palace is a HORRIBLE place for hockey games (a la Vipers days) and I hate the idea of sharing an arena, it affects the playing surface for both the basketball and hockey teams in a negative way...

irrelevant, because he IS on Detroit and that just further proves my point - we do not need to waste cap space on a "top-tier" goalie (which Price isn't anyway) when we can win and win BIG with an average or above average goalie - keep developing our defense and spend the money there... Price would be both a waste of cap space and pointless.
