Scouts From 10 Teams In Attendance For Sharks/Wings Game
stevkrause replied to rage's topic in General
because of the length... you don't want NO outs for that long of a contract... -
everyone go into this thread right now - http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=63172 Maybe Kronwall isn't the one to be LTIR'd :scared: :scared:
-
uh oh... Pavel or Flip get hurt in the OT? maybe one of them is the LTIR we've been hearing about... :scared: :scared:

I loved May, I'm gonna miss him... it makes sense, but I love what he brought to the table night in and night out... I hope he clears, so we can bring him back up when rosters expand...

I agree... I think if we deal him, it will bite us in the ass.... he hasn't even close to peaked and could easily be a perennial 70+ pt scorer(mostly assists if he gets a sniper to play with) in coming years... -
he could still very well be moved, this is just one move... I am so sick of seeing him out there... I may not even like the next guy to wear 22, just because of the bad memories...
-
or still got traded March 1st or 2nd... if not, he'll be bought out in the off season and end up somewhere for around 1 mil next year
-
wow... big contract, but still a good NHL player... when does his contract end? I'm sure PLENTY of teams would love to have him at 1.5 or less...
-
semantics... he's still on the active roster and a scratch, I was just trying to clarify between the points - the reason behind a guy being scratched has nothing to do with his contractual status... that was the point I was making
-
no, you cannot - there's a difference between being hurt and being on the IR - you cannot move a guy while he is on the IR...
-
exactly - a guy can be put back as active contractually to make a move and then just set as a healthy scratch after the move, so he still has time to complete healing - it is against the rules to move a guy when he's on the IR
-
well, Burke does love dealing with his old teams, haha if I had to guess, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him in CHI - they still need to unload guys who will be in line for a raise and get them out of cap hell, it's out of conference and CHI gets him as a rental...
-
first, trade Lebda and Meech to Washington for Ovechkin and Backstrom, then trade Howard to Vancouver for Luongo, then bring Gerard Gallant out of retirement and trade him to Calgary for Jerome Iginla... trade Stuart and Rafalski's no trade clauses (not the players themselves, but actually trade their no trade clauses for a bag of pucks - this frees the player up to then be traded), then trade Rafalski for Atlanta's next 12 first round picks and Stuart to Tampa Bay for Vinny Lecavalier and Marty St. Louis... then trade Filpulla for Boogard (who needs a soft euro that's defensively responsible and capable of 80 pt seasons??!!? - we need toughness!) promote McCollum, Kindl, Brendan Smith and a 14 year old prospect from BC - because he won a ton of fights in Bantam AAA and we really need that grit on the back end... force Holmstrom, Draper, Lilja, Maltby and Osgood to all retire... finally, get everyone to restructure their contracts (even though the CBA doesn't allow contract restructuring - they'll make an exception!) for league minimum Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Ovechkin Franzen-Backstrom-Iginla Cleary-Lecavalier-St.Louis Abdelkader-Helm-Boogard Lidstrom-Ericsson Kronwall-Kindl Smith-14 year old prospect Luongo McCollum what an infusion of vets and prospects! COME ON PEOPLE - LOGIC!
-
Yea, because Fla wouldn't want more than that in return and we'd still be in cap hell... I hate trade proposals on this board... they're never even close to logical...

Nabokov stole the game last night - focus on the positives
stevkrause replied to stevkrause's topic in General
I agree with most of your secondary points, but your first is way off - Nabokov made at LEAST 5 saves that were sure goals any other night... -
something else is in the works - this move, combined with all the scouts there last night... something is up...
-
scouts don't travel for waivers.
-
not true - 24 days, or 10 games - 24 days would take us through most of the Olympics and give Holland more time to think about the trade(s) and Kronwall could be back shortly after the olympics... might be a very smart move...

ugh... not again Kronwall... he's the only one out with enough cap to make that happen...
