Hasek was pretty blockbuster at the time... so was the Chelios deal at the time... and there were others too... so... maybe you've been waiting for one for 10 years, but we've had several in the last 20....

Well, he could be ONE of the players (teams in the playoff picture trade for depth too) but I think there's more than that - he could have offered up a list of like 10 guys for all we know and wants to see what they will offer in exchange....... scary exciting...

exactly... I'm both excited and scared at the same time... That's what I'm thinking... someone we aren't even considering might be on the move... that's one of the biggest reasons I'm both excited and scared at the same time....

I'm not saying it's impossible, just highly improbable...

no way, because you have nothing to lose really for a waiver, so you can grab a guy sight unseen and if he doesn't work for you, just waive him again... but if you're going to give up assets... you want to see what you're getting... scouts don't travel for waivers...

There's no way TB lets him go with the way he's been playing - and if so, definitely not for that little It'd be more like Nittymaki and a pick for Kindl, Osgood and a pick and then we have 2 unproven goalies come playoffs(if we make them) I don't see that happening...

He made a damn good case to keep him last night... or trade him while his stock is high

I really wanted to see Dats and Z together during the 4 on 3 in OT with Lids and Raffi on the backend, then Flip and Bert with Stuart and Williams... hindsight 20/20... if they had scored with the lines Babs used, we wouldn't even be talking about this...

these "biggest game of" threads are getting old... it seems like every time one of these is posted, we lose

I'm not saying this WILL happen, or that it SHOULD - but we have a LOT of high quality prospects and picks and could possibly even move a roster player or 2 to free up the cap... You could see something like 6 players out for 1 in return (and picks), 3 team trade, etc, blah, blah, blah... There are a lot of scenarios and depending on how serious Holland is about shaking things up, some things could happen... including guys we might not even consider as trade bait...

and Lidstrom should have shot the puck higher on his slap shot from the slot and Rafalski should have shot while there was traffic in front on the PP and Zetterberg should have shot instead of passed while in the slot on the PP We could break this down to a ton of moments, but the long and the short is, we outshot them and got more quality scoring chances by more than a 2-1 margin and still lost... if we play like that night in and night out - we wouldn't be in the spot we're in right now and this loss wouldn't hurt as much...

5-5 until someone wins - real hockey EDIT: as a sidenote, I like the dog and pony show in the regular season (ties suck and you don't need games going on forever for a reg season game) as long as it NEVER bleeds into the playoffs, but it needs to be fixed (longer OT, point system fixed, etc, etc, etc)... but that is another topic all together that has been beaten ad nauseam on this board...

With all the scouts that were there tonight, I almost think something crazy and unexpected is going to happen... but if NOTHING else, I will do a happy dance if Lebda is gone come Sat morning...

I've been the biggest Ericsson supporter/fan in the world, but he looked way out of place a lot tonight... I still think this all comes back to McCrimmon and the fact he hasn't had a solid d partner all year... on any note, something has to give, he's playing unsure and without conviction and I think the fights have been part to sell himself, part frustration
