Yea... admittedly, I got a little out of hand with that one... the driving point I was making, albeit in an over the top manner, was I think we need a drastic roster shake up to wake some people up... and at least 2 roster players are probably going to have to be involved to do this...

I have looked into the future and in a parallel universe, where this happens, the Wings win the Stanley Cup They made a blockbuster move to really shake things up and sent Franzen, Hudler, Ericsson, Smith and a 1st rd pick to Nashville in exchange for Kostitsyn, Erat and Weber... everyone gets healthy and this happens: Filppula-Datsyuk-Kostitsyn Cleary-Zetterberg-Erat Bertuzzi-Helm-Abdelkader Holmstrom-Emmerton-Eaves Miller Lidstrom-Weber Kronwall-Stuart Kindl-White Commodore DISCLAIMER - This is meant more as a joke than anything, but in all seriousness, I really do think we need a major roster shake-up, just to break the complacency that has hit this team....

I've been annoyed when others jumped to this conclusion too early, but we're coming up on that all knowing 20 game mark and I think we've sene what we are now... I hate to say it, but this team needs a major shake-up... personnel has been too comfortable for too long and I think certain players are becomming complacent.... I still think we're going to see a blockbuster trade at the deadline... at this point, I really just hope it doesn't include Fil, as he's been our best forward this season and short of our bottom 6, he's the only one that's shown tenancity game in and out...

I can agree with this to an extent, but as long as he makes them crisp, Kronwall will be able to handle them, even if they're a little off target Somethings got to give though, the PP has been absolutely dismal this season... #PattyOnPoint

He is EASILY one of our 11 best forwards when everyone is healthy (let alone top 12)... the fact he's been a healty scratch at ALL is a problem... I love the way Miller and Emmerton have been playing and they've both shown they deserve to play, so it's a difficult situation, but Eaves flat out should never be a healthy scratch... I'll go one further that he needs to see PP time, yes, I said it. Babs wants another R handed shot on the point for the PP - problem solved. He is too good to not play.

I took a new position about 2 mths ago and haven't been able to post as much lately :-( I usually just read the prospects section, as it usually has good info on players across the pond that I'm not able to follow as closely here... Thanks for the update!

Once again (and it's sad that this needs to be repeated this many times) - The odds of this actually making a difference are slim to none, but it could make for a good story and good pub for LGW.com... not with this general, malaise, apathetic response from some members however... Is it too much to ask that we make light of something and all come together for a good story on LGW? Apparently so.

As touched on, the odds of this actually making it happen aren't great, but it'd at least be good pub for letsgowings.com and make for a good story... what do you have to lose? Start tweeting people, don't take the apathetic "what'll it do any good for" stance... if nothing else, it'll be fun... come on LGW!

I agree... I think Cleary needs to be given a few days off and heal properly, I still don't think he's right from the pre-season injury... with that said, I still think Cleary, when healthy, is a valuable player and deserves the top 6 minutes... I wish Eaves had shown more when he was on Datsyuk's wing in the preseason... I don't know what happened, but he seemed to tighten up, get stiff and not play his game, I think if he had played the same way he did the last few games while on the 4th line, he would have started the season on Datsyuk's wing... The PP situation makes me want to rip my hair out though... what I want to see is Eaves-Kronwall on the point, just for ONE game... I'm convinced it would have very positive results...

I don't know why Babs won't try him on the point for the PP, it was dismal last night and ESPECIALLY with White out, it gives a legit right handed shot to set up one timers and he's defensively smart enough to not be a liability... it's maddening

This isn't Campbell's NHL anymore, Shanny won't give just because of a players name... I'd guess 2-3 games, which is fair and which is all it should be - Have to take repeat offender status (which Stewart isn't) into account...
