Some big wins over this stretch could not only drastically affect our standing, but build some good momentum and confidence... Leino is lazy and he sucks

Ritola skates harder and with more effort though, night in and night out... I'll take a guy that consistently skates his ass of, over a guy with a ton of natural talent and a bad attitude who takes nights off...

    Howard deserved a better fate

    exactly...

Lidstrom with worst shooting percentage - just sad

teams don't have much to fear in front of the net/down low, so they're closing in on the point and shutting down his shooting lane, giving up the pass... things will change once Zetterberg is back and really ramp up once Franzen's big body is back out front - count on it...

    Howard deserved a better fate

It makes sense statistically to me, it just seems weird...

    wow... apparently you're right - http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/recap?gid=2006112810 weird...

They still award the SO, even though the goalie takes a loss? that doesn't seem right...

    Howard deserved a better fate

indeed... which is another HUGE reason that Brodeur's SO (and Sawchucks for that matter) will never be broken... back in the day you could end the game with a 0-0 tie and both goalies got a SO...

    Drew Miller

agreed 100% - even with his solid play (this is not a knock on Williams point), I really hope Eaves and Miller stay in and Williams and Leino out once everyone is healthy...

    Oh Wayne...

He looks like such a creep in this pic...

Zetterberg out at least 2 weeks

Ritola's GOTTA be the call up I'd imagine...

    Oh Wayne...

there's not a thing about this thread I don't love... and abhor at the same time...
  21. This is insane... in over 20 years of being a diehard Wings fans, I have never seen a rash of injuries like this...

Someone needs to find the Red Wing Voodoo doll

this is starting to seem very likely...

    McCarty pulled a Bertuzzi

fair enough... everyone is entitled to their own opinion... I'm not saying you're wrong, I just see it different...
  24. stevkrause

    McCarty pulled a Bertuzzi

once again... I didn't say what McCarty did was right, but to compare the instances is not fair, because of the variables between the two...
  25. stevkrause

    McCarty pulled a Bertuzzi

once again, apples to oranges, you're combining 2 separate instances to support your claim... The attack on Kaczmer was from behind, but was not premeditated and yes, it was wrong, but in the heat of the moment, it in fact DOES make a difference. The fight with Lemieux was premeditated but was FACE TO FACE... The second variable in both of those situations make a HUGE difference... and to overlook the significance of their combination in the scenario is weak.
