he never hits from behind and usually the only lift off his feet is when he makes contact from the sheer force... he's a hard nosed clean player and definitely doesn't "run" people... anyone who thinks he "deserved" it is an f'in joke and should stop watching hockey

listen, I know he sucks so bad that his name doesn't matter, but how the hell did the VS. broadcaster get away with calling him Brad Lebda even twice, let alone all the way through the first 2 periods without ANYONE in the crew correcting him? That broadcasting crew was horrendous last night (the game crew, not the panel back at the studio)

Now don't get me wrong, I don't want to ever see the NHL switch to international sized rinks, but for an international competition, I don't like the fact that they are using the smaller rinks... I think it changes the Olympic style game and the way it's played and I like seeing them play on the larger rinks for a change (separate of the NHL)

Doc and Dave Strader (former Wings broadcaster on the PASS sports days) are great, and VS is usually pretty good... but that crew last night was horrible...

that's great... it's what he needed though, he needs to react and talk that way all the time and just be himself and he'll do great... that stiff persona he had otherwise wasn't him...

They were doing so well with the Doc Emrick and team group and the Dave Strader and team groups... why use another one?

wouldn't have surprised me... my girlfriend said she thought they had a super troopers thing going on, seeing how many times they could call him Brad... seemed almost intentional...

but that isn't him, that's the point I'm making - he's a natural for color and this appearance did not showcase it...

although I agree on some aspects, I don't want to see the NHL itself to go to the larger rinks... I think it would be too drastic of a change to the game...

not horrible... but if you compare it to his spots on FSN and the radio for the Wings and Grifs, it was sub-par at best... he seemed nervous and was trying too hard to be a "broadcaster" on a national telecast instead of just being himself and he came across as stiff - I think if he had just been a color guy and been himself, he would have done much better... he also should have put in his false teeth...

well Stuart's already killing penalties too... short of rolling Stuart, E and Lids all on double duty, I think he's rolling them the right way... but I sure would love to see that canon on the PP... I think if Lilja was healthy and could pick up the PK slack, E would definitely be on the PP...

He's already spreading 2 of his PK specialists (Stuart and Lids) thin with double duty and although I also agree that E should be on the PP - I can see why he's choosing not to use him...

especially considering both are up after this year - trade them now... I'd much rather see Janik or Delmore out there than Meech or Lebda... if I had it my way, they'd both be dealt...
