Eaves needs to be in every game

    Agreed 100%

Eaves needs to be in every game

Emmerton has played surprisingly well, but its about time Babs did this - If he wants Miller in, then he plays center, simple as that... Eaves should never be a healthy scratch and as he showed last year, can really perform when he's given consistent ice time

    Pronger injured after high-stick

The ONLY player in the league I would feel no sympathy for (and would probably smile if it happened) if he had a career ending injury, is Matt Cooke and I mean it... with that said, I LOATHE Pronger as well, but do not want to see him lose an eye, or his career...

Eaves needs to be in every game

I'd say Kronwall's shot is just as accurate and that is HUGE praise, but that's how far I think his game has evolved in that area...

Eaves needs to be in every game

I'll even go as far as to do something I hate... essentially post a line combo reply: Hudler-Filppula-Franzen White-Lidstrom Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Eaves-Kronwall

Eaves needs to be in every game

I was suggesting he be used on the point on the PP, not take time away from our forwards... also, playing the PP doesn't mean one can't also be used on the PK... I'd like to see him see 4th line, PK AND PP minutes, that should average about 12-14 mins a night... And yes, these are good problems to have.

    Kindl

I agree about being our 4th best dman thus far, but let's keep things in perspective too, Stuart got dinged at the end of the preseason, then hit from behind a couple games ago... I'm fairly certain he's not at 100% right now...

How Do You Feel About The Southeast?

Well, Detroit is in the SE part of MI…

    Dallas Attendance

They weren't fantastic, but they averaged over 15000 a game for the year, that's hardly bad either... http://www.sportsbusinessdaily.com/Daily/Issues/2011/04/12/Research-and-Ratings/NHL-attendance.aspx

    Dallas Attendance

If it's still like that in December, then I'd worry... or furthermore, in Feb after football season, but considering that the Rangers are in the ALCS (as already touched on) AND the fact it's a Monday, AND the fact they're playing the Yotes... I wouldn't read too much into it...

    Best One-Two Punch?

Give me Z and Dats above all else, I don't care about the gaudy numbers of any of the others, they are as clutch as they get and both are amazing on both ends of the rink... With that said, Stamkos/St. Louis is my number 2...

    Hudler?

    My thoughts exactly.........

Report: Pre-season Fighting Lowest in More Than a Decade

This stat is 100% attributed to Lilja's concussion...

    10/7 GDT:Senators 3 at Red Wings 5

As one of the only Ericsson supporters left on this board... he looked bad tonight, wheras Kindl looked exceptional... eesh... Also, to point out the obvious, hot damn did we get lazy after the 5th goal... 3 against and not a damn one of them Howards fault, ugh

I'm pulling for Hudler to have a GH Hat Trick... Neil's got nothing on him!

    Brunnstrom is signed.

Holmstrom started his career wearing 15 and switched to a higher number ending in 6, and is Swedish... coincidence? I think not!

Former Buffalo Sabre Rick Martin passes away

I know the title is misleading, since it was posted when this initially happened, but this is an update, not a report of a new death... this occurred last winter(still technically the same caldender year, but not exactly part of the recent rash) and the updates are in regards to connections with concussions...

    Hudler?

This is such a lightning rod on this board, I don't even want to touch it... but here's my HONEST evaluation, un-biased as possible on all levels He looked stronger and faster than years past and looked pretty hungry out there, however, he wasn't able to convert much and had very little consistency in the area of linemates... All and all, I was actually pretty impressed with his play in the preseason, all stats aside...

    Brunnstrom is signed.

Fantastic news, he looked like all kinds of determined this preseason and definitely earned it... just learning from the guys in that locker room, this could end up being one of the steals we look back on in awe... as long as he keeps working hard and stays determined, the sky is the limit!

    Fabian Brunnstrom

Can we stay on topic, Bert is going nowhere, nor is it even relevant to this thread, as there about at LEAST 4 other players the Wings would part ways with, before Bert...

    Red Wing Injury Thread.

I'd kinda like to see them carry Exelby as the 7th and break up Kindl and E when Commy is out: Lidstrom-White Ericsson-Kronwall Kindl-Stuart (and no, I'm not stating Stuart is a 3rd pair guy - I think all 3 pairs should evenly split minutes)

NHL will Look into Fighting: Shanahan

Fighting will never go away, but maybe they institute some sort of tap out rule (clutch the opponent and tap out?) and make body slams/take downs illeagal and suspense worthy offenses... this is where the most danger comes into play... I'm just throwing out ideas on ways they could crack down, while still keeping the element in the game, not necesarily proposing this... although, I definately wouldn't be opposed to it...
