if that right there doesn't say it all, I don't know what does.

Chris Chelios considers offer from AHL Chicago Wolves
stevkrause replied to 40#1Fan's topic in General
oh come on Cheli! just take the coaching job here and retire with pride! I know you love the game, but this is too far... -
I really wanted a Prospal/Malhotra off season... but oh well - IHWT
-
I just don't know why they couldn't have just squared up - as someone else said, the little stick fight in the beginning and when it happened in the game really annoyed me... other than that, Youngblood was a generally good hockey movie... especially with the dretch that's come out for hockey movies in the last 2 decades (short of Mystery Alaska - just funny, Mighty Ducks trilogy - good kids movies to generate interest in the game and Miracle - obvious)
-
at the same token, look at the sweet move at the end of the clip -
-
yes, the triple deke was pretty revolutionary... he also came up with the flying V... but that was in his coaching career, so it can't really be used to judge him as a player... clearly a visionary though!
-
look similar?? hmm... just saying...
-
sadly... so true...
-
This is BEYOND ridiculous... what about the Jays in the MLB and Raptors in NBA?
-
what. the. f*** as someone else said, give me Larsson or McCollum with no experience before him... if it were a tryout for GR, THEN I'd be ok with it...
-
it's official... sh*t Pierre LeBrun now reporting 12 years 5.2 mil cap hit
-
really was one of the bets jerseys around... too bad their not still in Hartford, because I hate them in Carolina, haha
-
more worried about Howard than the overall situation - I think Ozzie will bounce back and have a stellar year... I think Ozzie sees about 50-55 as said before, and Howard will see the remaining 30 - I do NOT see call-ups unless someone is injured - Howard is used to playing 50+ a season, he can handle the workload as far as durability... it's his ability I'm worried about...
-
probably just nothing left in the tank... playing that style of game takes its toll on the body, especially as a defenseman...
-
you're forgetting the most important element Cleary adds to keep up with them - speed.
-
there I fixed that quote... because that's really what it comes down to - too many people with ego problems, making decisions for the whole.
-
another lockout would effectively kill the NHL... if this happens, expect fishing and competitive darts to get better ratings...
-
as a public service announcement to this board... Brad Stuart is a perfect number 4 D-Man - he is not a 1, he is not a 2, hell, he's not even our number 3 (while he'd be a 2 on any other team) he took a discount to stay here and he has... for the last f'in time... A... NO. TRADE. CLAUSE.
-
this is why they can't ever put up a strong enough fight against the BOG, they can't stay united...
-
how is that a 3 man deal? Holland already said he would move one d-man if Lilja is healthy... so that's a one man move. Then trading Hudler would be the necessary move and the demotion of Helm or Eaves isn't a trade... just a move to GR... that's only 1 guy who is ACTUALLY here...

people are WAY too uptight these days, that was in no way shape or form an anti-semetic remark and anyone who can even connect it to that on any level is grasping at straws - it was made in reference to the totalitarian way of running things in a facist society, not the pointless murder of millions of innocent lives and if you notice the context in which it was compared, it's pretty clear what comparison was being made... next time I'll compare them to Stalin... oh wait, then I'm comparing them to murderers ot millions of Russian civilians, right? Or how about Castro... oh, wait, sorry Cubans... so, please, YOU - don't get those two confused...
