I wonder if someone cleared their cookies and then kept repeatedly voting... *cough* *cough*

this is close and Lidstrom deserves this - EVERYONE GO VOTE

I've been wondering for a couple years now, that after the 2009 season when Turco's contract is up, if he'd sign with Detroit for something WAY below market value to return home and have a chance to win a cup... you can tell how frustrated he gets losing in Dallas (even though some it is his fault)
-
I hate the Hurricanes and this just furthers the hatred... in such a dismal economy, they basically get free advertising and they're suing the guy over it?!?! especially after they already recognized him at a game for his song? what a joke of an organization...
-
mildly amusing...

man, I'm starting to really enjoy Chicago's off season... it's like a sitcom, one laugh after another...
-
I REALLY and I mean REALLY wanted Prospal on that 2nd line, and still thought we kinda needed a bonafide sniper for that 2nd line... so neither... but you make good points, for what they are and for what they cost, I give a slight nod to Sammy, but it's pretty much the same thing...
-
I wish he had been lying...
-
yea, why would they want a passionate hockey guy who would DRASTICALLY overpay for a team as an owner and do anything to ice a winning team... yea, the NHL doesn't need more of those...
-
this kinda weirds me out...

I think Detroit could definitely pass Toronto within the next decade (hopefully sooner) as the mold doesn't seem formed in Toronto JUST yet, however, I wouldn't be surprised if in that next decade, Detroit managed to pull off 3, while Toronto actually won 1 as Burke knows how to build a winner and they will be contenders soon enough... I actually can't see Montreal even being a serious contender again within the next decade, Gainey is all over the place and to blow them out like he did, they're basically in rebuild mode, meaning it will more than likely be 5 years before they're even competitive, let alone serious contenders - in the next decade, I say the 5 most likely teams to be serious contenders are: Detroit Pittsburgh Philadelphia Washington Chicago

this.

nothing against the kids roller hockey talent, because he has tons... but this is hardly the same game as putting on the blades... I really hope you were at least half joking with this post...
-
exactly and that's all we need.... especially for a reasonable price tag...
-
this... also, I think it's an unfair comparison when Vinny and Marty play 22 mins a night and Fil sees MAYBE 12-14 and Franzen, MAYBE 15... Plus, it's a natural fit Fil - playmaker Prospal - sniper Franzen - power forward Fil setting up Prospal for one timers, while Mule drives the net... then you add in the fact that they all have amazing hands and it opens up even more... I think he would blossom here
-
you still need scoring, which he has a ton of... especially on a line with Fil and Mule... man would that be killer - you put those 3 together along with a top line of ZDH, and not only do you make up the loss of goals from Hossa, Sammy and Hudler exiting, but you very possibly surpass it in my mind with drastic increases in Fils output and Pospals 70-80 pt season he would have here...

yes, please.

Sportsnet: Hudler awarded 2 year deal 5m total; Still KHL bound

or the fact, that money can't buy happiness... yes hockey is a job to these elite players, but some people look at it like it's ALL it is... a job... it's about a passion and a competitive nature and guys WANT to play in the best league in the world - he WILL be back in the NHL. period. -

this is actually awesome... there's no way he's not going to the KHL, but we keep his rights and it's at a GREAT cap hit in 2 years if he decides to come back and gives us good trade bait -
same here, that'd be amazing... although I think we just don't have the space... even if we get Prospal for under 2, that only leaves about 1 for Malhotra and I'm pretty sure someone else will offer him at least 1.5, but you never know... work your magic Kenny! Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Prospal-Filppula-Franzen Leino-Helm-Cleary Draper-Malhotra-Maltby YES PLEASE!!
-
Malhotra is my #2 choice... he was my #1 before Prospal became available...
-
I agree with everything you said except for wanting Williams back... To me, sign Prospal and this off-season goes from bleek to awesome over night...
-
got ya, I was just worried that it would add mushy feelings to fuel the fire about him coming here...
-
If he's still out, you just roll with the 6 we got... and that's after one is dealt... Kindl only gets brought up under extreme circumstances - Lilja does not return, we trade away one of Meech/Lebda AND one of our 6 gets injured after that... that's a lot of variables... and even then, I think there's a better chance of Delmore being brought up, while Kindl plays top 2 pairing minutes in GR, thats why he was signed imo
