Jason Williams Offered 1 Year Contract

uh... read your aticle again, that quote at the beginning was him referring to Columbus...

Jason Williams Offered 1 Year Contract

I'd take him for 1mil or less... 2.5 is pure speculation and I can't see Holland offering ANYWHERE near that... If it's true, we would have been better off giving Sammy 3.5 and trading someone...

    Lils still not 100%

It's a disgrace to Konstantinov and Fischer to put Krupp in that category with them... and as much as I like the hometown guy, I would hardly count Hatcher's 15 games in one season with us as being worthy of being on the same list as Konstantinov or Fischer either... especially since it was not the last season of his career...

    Lils still not 100%

here's to hoping Lils just wakes up one day SOON, feeling completely fine and never has any signs of pcs again :beerbuddy: a guy can hope....

    One more season for Shanny?

Can we please just kill this topic already - he IS NOT COMING BACK HERE... Plus, this is a horrible comparison, Drake had NEVER won a cup and left it all on the ice for his shot... Shanny has won 3... hardly the same motivation... He is a shell of himself and needs to retire and DEFINITELY is not what we need... I loved him when he was here, but he is done.

    Vaclav Prospal Bought Out

exactly... after a buy out, a player is already getting a guaranteed paycheck, so couple that with a chance to win a cup and basically the same paycheck (with basically just another team paying half of it) and you get a steal in some cases...

    Vaclav Prospal Bought Out

now THIS is a topic worth talking about... what the hell is TB doing?!? even at 3.5... they're gonna be on the hook for over half, so how is another guy work like 1.5 gonna be better than him?!? Since he's getting a paycheck from TB anyway, Kenny, please, PLEASE offer him a 1.5 a year deal and a chance to win a cup... I'd love to see him here!

    P.J. Axelsson signs in Sweden

I don't mean an out clause at any time through the whole contract... a lot of NHL'ers deals over seas have a window where they can opt out of their contract within like the first 3-6mths of the deal...

    P.J. Axelsson signs in Sweden

I still don't see him as a Wing, but I wonder if his contract has an out clause if he gets an NHL offer he likes...

    Patrick Eaves

unless he actually clears waivers and they buy him out, I'd pass at 1.7... get him around 1 a year and I'd take a flier on the guy...

what's Paul Ysebaert up to these days?

    Kindl signed to three-year extension

nice cap hit, locked up for 3 years, spends next year working out issues in GR to be a full timer in 2011... looks good to me. - 2011 backend: Lidstrom(he will re-sign)-Rafalski Ericsson-Kronwall Stuart-Kindl Meech and Lebda - your time is limited...

    Whats the deal with Oulahan

we wouldn't get anything for him in a trade...

    Whats the deal with Oulahan

while he's good enough and all, I don't think he will ever turn into much... maybe a 4th liner at best, I wouldn't bother carrying him on the roster and if someone snags him on waivers, it'd be a bummer, but no big deal, he's already almost 25 and doesn't really even crack the top 15 in terms of prospects... Also, he's not very big, so for a checker... that's a downside... great defensively and great character, but unless he either gets tougher, or gets even faster (he's already pretty quick, but not Darren Helm quick) I don't see him ever being a Wing...

KHL will honor NHL's decision on Hudler

considering that the arbitrator is probably going to award him at least 3 mil a year and that we don't have that without making at least one major trade... I'd almost rather let him walk by this point... the only way I see paying him, is if Lilja is going to get LTIR'd, in which case, the cap space is there...

What if Dallas Drake played 1 more season

first off, welcome. next, there really are so many what if's in this world, and although they're fun to think about (and sometimes gut wrenching) there's no real way to know how it would have worked out, so one can't really compare what ifs to certainties. On that note, what if the Tigers had taken Carl Crawford for Jair Jurrjens straight up at the end of 07 at the deadline, rather than waiting to the off season and trading him for Renteria - that's the what if that wrenches my gut the most...

Biggest Gaffe in the new CBA

It's such a win-win scenario - teams with more money can spend over and keep players they developed and teams that make less get money from the luxury tax the teams choose to pay to spend over... I don't know why they didn't put one in there... I blame Bettman.
