I think calling it "The MAX" sounds cooler and is more fitting
-
Think of it this way - you fall and hit your head on two coffee tables... one is round and has curved edges, the other is square and has points Which one would you rather hit your head on? The spring loading is to absorb the impact... I like it and think it's far overdue... no kidding

too bold! It took Nick 20 years to get one!

Bleacher Report 50 Best Announcers/Personalities in Hockey History
stevkrause replied to CenterIce's topic in General
At least a few of our guys got decent mention, although I think Ken Daniels should higher, even higher than Mickey... also, McGuire shouldn't even be on this list, he's horrible... -
**REDWINGS* overnight report: disagreement about Smith, disparate news
stevkrause replied to BostonBruinsDan1924's topic in General
At the beginning of the article, he was in full gear... by the end, he was in street clothes (DISCLAIMER - This was just meant as a joke, in reality, everyone knows skates add closer to 2.5 inches to ones height and equipment anywhere from 15-30 lbs - depending on sweat) -
That one doesn't need testing, it just needs to be implemented.

My thoughts exactly... the signing of Conner and now the Brunnstrom try-out are REALLY going to push Emmerton in camp... How crazy would it be if Brunnstrom came into camp like a beast and worked his way not only onto the team, but actually into the lineup, that would really throw a wrench into things... All and all though, these are good problems to have

Sorry for your loss
-
That's what she said? I'm sorry... I had to and am a little surprised no one else beat me to it...

I like the same ones I did last year, and dislike the rest... The ones I like: - Removal of trapezoid - Yellow-line/cameras in net to review goals - Making an offending team not just touch the puck, but clear the zone on a delayed penalty - Revised OT (4v4, followed by 3v3, followed by 5 man shootout) Rules I would like to see added: - No more "intent to blow" - if the whistle is not physically blown, the play is/was live and is taken into consideration when reviewing goals - Goaltender interference revised - If the goalie is out of the crease, interference no longer applies/fair game - Goalie pad adjustment (make the leg pads more narrow) - When a review is sent "to Toronto", the on-ice officials no longer get to make the call and what the "war-room" says, is final. - 2 on ice officials, each is assigned a zone and can only make calls in said zone (neutral zone applies to both) - thus removing the "call from the other end of the rink" calls - Additional official off-ice, on headset, can radio to on ice officials for physically dangerous penalties only (obstruction excluded) behind the play that were missed by on ice officials - slashes behind the play, sucker punches, late hits, etc...

Ditto. This thread is dirty... and wrong.
-
Now THAT'S bold... And that's even bolder!
-
That's not bold, that's like predicting that ice will be cold I also corrected the spelling of Armageddon for you
-
the very thought of this having happened makes my stomach turn...
-
I sure hope not, because despite all the flack he takes on here and his questionable effort at times, I still genuinely pull for Hudler and find him pretty likable, and well... this would GREATLY change my opinion of him...
-
keep swinging, everyone on this board knows you're a joke... I'm not turning this thread into a pissing contest, so I'll leave it at that, champ. Definitely bold! He's deserved it the last 2 years, but I still see the committee voting for coaches who don't deserve it over him, just because he's in Detroit...
-
Sorry, he was *on pace for* 40, the year he had 34... why don't you make some of your own instead of swinging from my coat-tails champ? Or should I just make yours for you - "Hudler will score 164 pts and reach 50 goals, all while saving children from burning buildings and preventing world war"
-
re-read the article... they're referring to using Brunette in a top 6 role, not Carcillo
-
This was just a mis-read by the OP, as you stated, the article very clearly is referring to Brunette there... Carcillo will be a 4th liner there, but I hate that pedophile looking ****** and am not pleased that we see his ugly mug even more now... Commie, here's your chance to endear Wings fans... Tootoo, Carcillo, etc... keep these flies off and you'll be a fan favorite, even if you're a third pairing guy...
-
I still think he's a better stay at home d-man than anyone else on that list and offensively, McCabe isn't what he used to be... to me, I'd take a defensively sound aging dman, over an offensive dman, but I can see your point
-
did my part... I also thought it was odd, that my choice of Steve Staios as the best available UFA dman was in such a small group (only 5%)
-
Thornton is a choke artist and I'm thoroughly convinced that whatever team he plays for will not win a cup with him on it... he loses his cool when it matters most and may put up ok playoff numbers, but is a non-factor when it matters most... also, I still think Niemi is a flash in the pan...
-
Well then, there you go, even further reason why he'll never see arbitration again... like I said, he will either be locked up long term, or dealt (for a ransom) by the deadline...
