A. I think there is a trade coming as well B. I know this was kind of tongue in cheek, but Little Caesers and the Wings are separate business entities and do not affect one another's profit margins... I know it's in jest, but from a business standpoint, the two are not connected... also, the Wings always turn a profit, even maxing at the cap, so financial burden is not the case

Yea... about that, no it's not. It's nowhere on the NHL site, twitter, or capgeek... I'm calling bogus on this.
-
I haven't seen you around this board here much before tonight, but I like the cut of your jib! You seem to actually have some knowledge and common sense... something that goes bye bye a bit this time of year on here...
-
Exactly... this is where so many people go off the deep end, we have to give value to get value, we can't just give them more quantity to substitute for less quality... if we want a Yandle or Bogo, we have to accept that we will need to part with some genuine assets, not just "maybes"
-
According to multiple sources (Darren Dreger, David Pagnotta of TFP), he is uneasy with the direction of the club and wants to be traded to a contender...
-
I think the price goes down anytime you're dealing with a situation where the player themselves has come out and announced they want out... but the price will still be very high, no doubt...
-
I have not seen this confirmed anywhere... source about Vokoun to NYI?
-
I think Hudler could potentially be involved, but just as an extra piece to help get Phoenix to the cap floor, not as a key piece to the deal... also, Phoenix aleady has a good amount of forwards locked up, I would guess they would want more D than anything, especially with their D getting up there in years... I wouldn't be surprised if Kindl, Hudler, Nyquist and two 1st round picks, could get us Yandle and a mid/low level prospect or pick in return...
-
THE SKY IS FALLING, THE SKY IS FALLING!!! False alarm: just LGW at FA day, the trade deadline, draft, or after any 2+ game losing streak...
-
Than Yandle, or Bogosian? I like Burns size and shot, but if I had to choose, I'd say: Yandle>Burns>Bogosian Yandle is younger, has better speed and vision and less health concerns...
-
He won't answer this question, just telling you now... he's an eternal pessimist and not the realist he claims, because a realist is at least sometimes positive...
-
I'd hate to let him go, but I'd even ship out Smith if it landed us Yandle... he's that good.
-
I'd hardly call him garbage, he's still young and has a ton of upside and was showing that he was adjusting to the NHL game quite well at the end of last season, plus he has a low caphit, but I agree, it's going to take a big return to get one of Bogo or Yandle, but to say that one of those assets wouldn't be Kindl, because he's garbage, is off-base
-
I think that Bogo might actually be less obtainable due to the new ownership wanting to build... I also think that long term, Bogo might be a better fit here... With that said, Yandle would be amazing here and I'd welcome either of them, but anyone (not directed towards you) who thinks we can get either Bogo or Yandle, without giving up some very real pieces, is crazy... be prepared to part with Kindl and one of Smith or Nyquist, plus a couple high draft picks and if we can unload Hudler in the process, that's a bonus... A package of Kindl, Nyquist, and two 1st rd picks MIGHT fetch us Yandle, and it probably wouldn't cost much less for Bogo
-
Hudler and Kindl for Martinek and Nabokov? Add picks and/or prospects either way if needed...
-
Per Bob McKenzie 1 yr, 700k, 2 way deal Hopefully he can crack the lineup there, good luck Meech!
-
low risk, high reward if this works out... I like it.
-
Agreed, for that price tag, I'll take the gamble... I like it personally, maybe he just needs some good examples of work ethic around him and if it doesn't work, it's a short term deal at a low caphit, why the hell not!
-
We gotta enjoy some laughs on these FA/deadline days, or we'll all lose our minds :beerbuddy:
-
Agreed on his ability in GR... as for being underrated- I just question if he'll ever be more than an excellent AHL'er... I wish him the best and really hope he gets a real look in Winnipeg and prove that he IS an NHL'er
-
There, fixed that for you
-
I never cared for his play much, but his personality won me over on a personal level... he seems like a real hard working, humble, team guy if given the minutes and time maybe he can develop into a legit NHL'er... he's still pretty young, I wish him the best of luck!

You bite your tongue! I'll take Hudler playing in all situations and on the PK and seeing 20 min a night before ever seeing Lebda in the red and white again... I'd rather us cut loose all our D, and ice GR d corps night in and out, before we had that waste of a roster spot on the ice again...

Wings re-sign Eaves to 3-year, $3.6m contract
stevkrause replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
And I guarantee that is going to bite Wilson in the ass with FA in the future, plus, I allready covered that earlier (Snakes of GMs) Eaves will, and should be, here for the duration of this contract... hopefully longer
