Wings re-sign Eaves to 3-year, $3.6m contract
stevkrause replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
and how many of the goals against on the PK were when he was on the ice? Because I remember very few of them... he blocks shots, hits, skates very well, has a hell of a shot AND has good vision, you'd have to be blind to not notice his value OR how much of a value he is at only 1.2... He is more than a 4th liner, he's just playing a 4th liner role here... -
I honestly think there's more to the rumor about Boumeester being asked to waive his NTC, I think Holland is trying to work a deal for J-Bo and I think Hudler is involved in it...

Because he was severely underpaid last year... you could not be more off base here. Eaves is an incredibly versatile player and can fill multiple roles, great team guy, kills penalties - Eaves, Cleary, etc are the types of guys you NEED to win cups. period. -

Agreed, I would love to see him get a serious look on the PP, setting up at the top of the circle for one timers a la Stamkos (obviously I'm not comparing the two, just using as an example in that vein of usage)
-
:yowza: I really want him here long term... I hope this gets done before noon...
-
He already cleared, so the chance to claim him has passed... if they sent him back through waivers, then it would be 1/2 his salary, but that can't be for several days... if they send him to the AHL, then they essentially can't bring him back up without exposing him...
-
I honestly just think his confidence is shaken... given the right system and stability and I think he could turn it around... he's still got a very good shot and is a very hard hitter, just needs to work on his positioning and decision making a little... it probably didn't help either that Chicago rushed him to the NHL... they can now buy him out, or assign him to their AHL affiliate...
-
probably not a bad idea... I'm an almost 30, 5'9" grinder with bad knees... but there's a good market for that, right?
-
In my mind, for what our needs are, and price tags they will have, without a doubt...
-
Blech... not interested...

You: Rent, download, stream or buy Super Troopers IMMEDIATELY... you are missing a piece of comedy history having not seen it!

Didn't think I'd use this twice in the same thread... but only seems fitting...
-
doesn't fit as well here though and doesn't have the same ties... if we were going completely off the board, you might as well use Yashin... I wonder how many contracts the Leafs will lebda come FA on Friday... EDIT -
-
I didn't say he way tough, haha
-
I mentioned this in another thread, but it only seems fitting to spread it here - I implore all LGW'ers to join me in starting a new trend: Using Lebda's name as a verb when a team signs a horrendous contract ie. Florida really lebda'd the Kopecky contract... I think it works beautifully!
-
We should start using his name as a verb for anytime someone signs a horrible contract ie. I can't believe Florida lebda'd Kopecky... What do you think?
-
He should trade for Havlat and Barker in a package, put the band back together!
-
I wouldn't mind taking a flier on Fleischmann for the right price, but I do not want Ehrhoff, he is looking for more than he is worth and was helped out by playing with great players in Van... I think he has bust written all over him... I'd take a chance on Ian White before Ehrhoff...
-
That's odd... if they're just looking to unload his contract, why don't they package him with a pick and/or prospect and send him to Florida? They like old Blackhawks with big contracts...
