Agreed... I wish I could find the TV ratings by city, but it was some abysmal number, lower than cable access in Fla, and they basically give their tickets away... how that franchise has stayed there is beyond me...

Long and the short of it - putting a player on a new jersey that they never wore = Jersey Foul Unless you can find an old CCM or Reebok jersey from when he was still a Wing, don't do it.

Very good point, maybe combine the 2 ideas. If a one way player is sent down, or not on the main roster for X amount of days, when healthy, in one NHL season, they can opt out of their contract the following off season and in the meantime, while waived, the club sending them down is still responsible for 40% of the caphit... maybe even put in some arbitration buyout clause, where the can opt out, but the offending club is still monitarilly responsible for a portion of their contract, almost an imposed buy out, at the players discretion... then add the X amount of time clause, after opting out, to be allowed to re-sign for collusion protection... For all the idiocy that occurs on this board at times, then there are ideas like that in this thread that give me hope!

I really hope Larsson gets a real look at camp, it's risky to roll with young goalies, but I think he could be a star given the chance, hell he outplayed Jimmy in GR and look what Jimmy is doing now... I just don't want to see him get lost in the shuffle, just because he had more options and wanted to play in the NHL and felt he had nothing left to prove in the AHL...

They won't be, they're announcing their name (and I'm assuming logo) before the pick, so they obviously already made the decision internally and will have the jersey present at the time of the pick would be my guess...

Agreed 100% - I think TNSE probably wanted to name them the Moose and was probably planning to when they acquired them, but due to the overwhelming outcry in Winnipeg, I have a gut feeling that they are going to go with the Jets - which would be a fantastic decision on their part... as already touched on, the revenue from merch alone would be worth it... Bieksa has been in the league for several years and has improved every year, this wasn't an over the night thing, he's a very good defenseman and showed it in the SCF... I think he's better than Wiz, but as already touched on, I think the chance of him not re-signing in Vancouver is slim to none and therefore Wiz is a MUCH more likely option... also, they only need to sign one top 4 dman and one bottom 2 dman, the rest is filled out... I'm still crossing my fingers for Wiz and Montador...
