I hope we don't see him the rest of the playoffs and that's to NO fault of his, but rather because it will mean we have remained healthy. With that said, he has been a consummate professional this season and even though he probably should've hung them up, it's admirable that he fought back after the injury and is looking like an NHL caliber player (unfortunately for him, we have too many MORE NHL caliber players above him on the depth chart)

Agreed and now that we're up 3-0 in the series, I'd be ALL for someone gooning it up on Doan early in game 4 to send a message(not that it's likely to happen at all, but I wouldn't mind seeing Lids paired with Ericsson for most of the 1st period, just in case) the point I was making, is that last game, they handled themselves perfectly...

You can't drop the mitts with a guy who isn't willing... all you end up with is a penalty... granted, I wouldn't have been opposed to taking that penalty at 4-0, but at 3-1(4-2, etc...), it's simply too dangerous, that penalty can single handedly turn a game around.... This very well may have been your single greatest post ever!

Since we faced them in the SCF, I developed an extreme hatred and it has carried on, couple that with the fact they always seem to ice at least a few major d-bags and it keeps the hatred going...

Both Abs AND Bert clear as day challenged him after his cowardly runs at Lids, and he just ignored them and let the refs break it up... both Abs and Bert were smart about it, they got in there quick each time and you don't need to be a lip reading expert to make out what they were saying to him, but they were not going to hurt the team by doing EXACTLY what Doan wanted them to do - take a stupid retalitory penalty. I thought last night was a perfect Wings team on all fronts...

He has shown tremendous development this season and I'm starting to think his ceiling is a lot higher than any of us ever thought it could be... he has been easily one of our top 5 (you could argue top 3) most important players this season... his hands have gotten SO much better it's almost scary and he's been making some plays lately that are almost Datsyuk-esque (not to overstate it - but you can tell that he's been learning from him) I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him get 50+ a season in his prime... keep in mind, he's still very young and hasn't even close to hit his prime yet

Yes and no, on game nights, you will be fine because of hightened police... Greektown casino has a very nice hotel and isn't too far, plus there are shuttles from several restaurants in Greektown...

Am I the only one who still wants Chicago to eek in? Vancouver has always had problems with them and I want the east to west travel to beat the crap out of Chi and Van...

I personally think they should do away with East and West all together and go back to Campbell and Wales and have every team travel equally... you want real parity, that's how you do it... as for the moves, give Winnipeg their Jets back, move ATL to Quebec and call it a day... we can revisit what to do with that abortion of an idea of putting a hockey team on South Beach another day...

Let me start by saying I think he shouldn't get anything, Johnson went low and returned to the game... with that said, it was still reckless and I'm fine with the major and game... Due to his stigma and how hot button it is, I am prediciting 1-2 games...

Injuries - losing players like Datsyuk for any period of time can't be accounted for, along with Stuart's long injury, Val's stint, ect... add that in with never really getting any consistency on line pairings and you have the direct result... I think our playoff hopes lie solely on how healthy we stay...

With Osgood LTIR'd and Mursak back down, they can accomidate Pearce without an issue... McCollum's caphit is actually higher anyway... I think it more has to do with the Wings brass having no intention of the call up playing, unless we're getting blown out as a relief appearance AND the hope is still that McCollum is more in our long term plans due to his high draft stock, so "dangle a carrot" so to speak to light a fire under him, WHILE at the same time, not impeding GR, by taking their starting goalie away from them when they're still clawing for the last playoff spot in a very tight Western Conference in the AHL...

Dear Babs, you've found gold... STOP MESSING WITH IT... Cleary and Hudler work very well together and both need to be with a top line center to be most effective, so its pretty simple, keep them together and with Pav or Hank, and they will both produce... I also like Bert with Franzen, and Fil and Modano seem to have found some good chemistry as well, so... there's that...

Didn't look good at all, my first guess was a separated shoulder, which for a goalie, well... MacDonald/Pearce combo come playoffs is a very real possibility... I wish I could + this on my phone...

Looks like my original prediction that Osgood would never play another game in the NHL again may come true bummer of a way for him to go out, that's just such a touchy injury for a goalie...

Average OHL-er by his stats, so if he gets into an NHL game, we very well just may see him get a s*** in net, haha
