Odd, it definitely looks like he might be on the move... if his caphit was lower (like less than 1m) I'd be ALL for the Wings taking a flier on him, hell I might even consider it at 1.3 (as long as what was going back the other way made sense - mid/low level pick or a mid-low level prospect) I think he was in a bad situation in Tor and would thrive here, probably even give Jimmy a run for his money as starter...

Well then I'm a bad human being, because I don't hate to see that when it comes to Cooke I don't want the guy killed, or paralyzed or anything like that, but, yes I would love to see his career ended and if that makes me a bad person, so be it - he is a cancer to the league and I would rather see a waste of oxygen like Cooke's career ended than who knows how many other quality players careers ended because of him... I guess in a way, metaphorically, it comes down to one of the age old questions - Would you kill one person if it could save thousands? If his career being ended saves one other players career, then it was worth it.

I didn't think so either, Tinordi was very animated with his swings, but it didn't look like many really connected and it appeared to be more of a take-down than anything... Sidenote - Does anyone else think that they're making skates too sharp these days? After watching a scrum like this and how skates were so recklessly flying around, with no one getting cut and comparing that to the number of pretty deep, dangerous cuts THROUGH jerseys and socks in recent years... makes you wonder...

I could not agree more - there is not a single player in the NHL that deserves a "comeuppance" more than Cooke at this point...
