Cleary and Hudler at center???? What the hell is wrong with you?!?!?!?!?!? seriousness though, I think there's a good chance that we'll see that at some point, I personally think those would be very complementary lines as well... -

yes he did, not to mention he registered 3 shots on net to Miller's 0 and played just an overall very solid defensive game, while generating some offense as well... -

I think there's a great chance you see merri-go-round on the bottom 2 lines tonight, with essentially all 6 getting mixed and swapped at various points... Abdelkader-Modano-Cleary Hudler-Helm-Eaves Hudler-Modano-Cleary Abdelkader-Helm-Eaves Adbelkader-Modano-Hudler Cleary-Helm-Eaves Hudler-Abdelkader-Modano Cleary-Helm-Eaves I wouldn't be surprised to see any of those at some point throughout the night, not to say they will be that way all night, but at some point, for a look... -

You nailed it - For all these reasons, it's a pretty clear choice and you almost have to feel bad for Miller, because he's played VERY well given his role, but the fact is, he's the least talented of our 13 healthy forwards right now... -

it WILL be Miller -
from someone who has been in IT for the last decade, trust me, the cost would be nowhere as expensive as you think and actually pretty minimal all and all... they did the abortion that was the glow puck almost 20 years ago and that technology wouldn't be too far off, except it's evolved and become cheaper... I'm not saying it should be the end all be all, but it would be just another tool...

beat me to the punch... Wasn't he also an alternate at the end of 89?

I agree with this 100%, they could very easily put a chip in the puck and a sensor in the posts... if it crosses, it's triggered, lights go off...

I think it's pointless and redundant, they already review questionable goals and they're pretty good about going upstairs when there is any doubt in the first place... The thing that needs to be addressed, are the calls coming from the war room - As soon as it goes to the "war room", the ref should no longer have any say and the war rooms decision should be final, also, they need to get a little better at reviewing in said war room and get a better success rate... Oh, and do I even need to mention the removal of "intent to blow"? Very simple: whistle blown - play dead. no whistle - live play. done and done.

If there's one thing all of us can agree on, on LGW, is our hatred for blueadams line combo threads I think it really brings us all together (and gets us drunk for those who participate) :beerbuddy:

May I have mine with some BBQ sauce please? 12GP, 2G, 8A, 10PTS +4 and skating harder than he EVER did here... I still agree with Holland's choice and don't think he ever would have been that player here with our system or lack of minutes to spare, but he has proven me wrong about not being a legit NHL'er and as a man of my word, I will honorably admit when I'm wrong... I wish Ville nothing but success, he has really found a niche there in Philly and is playing well for them!

I love the turn this thread has taken!

Including making you giddy like a school girl with a giant crush

I never really used it when it was here, but where's the minus button when you need it?

wow... more power to him, that's wild... Gerrard Gallant - Currently an assistant coach for the Islanders Slava Fetisov - Currently a member of the upper house of the Federal Assembly of Russia, President of professional Russian hockey club HC CSKA Moscow of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), Chairman of the Board of Directors of the KHL and chair of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Athletes Committee. He was also the Minister of Sport in Russia from 2002 to 2008. Mark Howe - Currently, Howe serves in the Red Wings front office as Chief Pro scout. Dave Barr - Currently an assistant coach with the Wild. Bernie Federko - Currently a television color commentator for the Blues. Bob Rouse - Currently an assistant coach with the Chilliwack Bruins of the WHL. that's all the research I feel like doing for now

I just can't bring myself to rock the mustache alone... I feel like a pedophile/70's pron star... however, come May, I hope to start another glorious, unruly beard...
-

My thoughts exactly - I have had too many forms of cancer hit way too close to home, too many times, and it is hell - I wish your brother a VERY quick and victorious fight against that horrible disease!!!

that's not the point of the thread... Why is it that crazy all things considered? At the time, I never thought he would be a legit NHL'er - If a guy doesn't play in the NHL, he can't score in the NHL and that was the premise. I honestly thought he was a flash in the pan and would have something like 10 pts in 40 games, then get waived, and as he made perfectly clear, wouldn't have accepted the AHL and bounced back to Finland... This is why I created this thread, to admit I was wrong on that very premise
-
Fair enough, I didn't mean to come across as combative, so if I did, I apologize there He's also young and was never developed properly, in Columbus or Philly... I think had he spent an entire extra year here in GR, and learned our system, come 2011, he would have earned a spot in our top 6

A guy who can log valuable minutes when on the ice in the role he is asked to play... how is that subjective?

I think you understand because you read more than just the title before replying, some people on this board don't follow that chain, haha :beerbuddy:
