Flyers don't, though. Everyone should play the last day at the same time. Common sense is something beyond the league's intelligence. Should have rescheduled that game some other time. Islanders won't even show up now. -

Game over. These idiots better show up on Sunday. The league didn't do us any favors having us play first. We won't know the results of the other games. Our record in MSG isn't too good either. We'll be lucky to make it without help. -

The vets should be 3rd liners by now. We haven't created enough good young players over the years to become top liners. You can blame that on drafting low, but it is what it is. There's no reason the Euro twins and Kronwall should be good players at this point in their careers. -

I take back all the nice things I said about these s***heads yesterday. Just got home and these idiots are already down 2-0. Reminds me of game 6 against Tampa yesterday. -
Really? I think 16 teams is enough. Also, a lower seed would never get to the Finals if they had to play a 5 game series before the playoffs even begin. Too much fatigue there. Maybe they could do a one game elimination like MLB started a few years back.

My point was, the Flyers and Isles could finish with better records than us, but they'd be relegated to Wild Card status, while we'd get to be a 3 seed just because we're in a different division. That's my understanding of the system. If so, it needs to be changed to a complete reseed. Also, maybe we can have a mini playoff for the Canadian teams. Kind of like the NIT college basketball tournament. Would be fun.

Must have been a while back when there actually was noise at the JLA. Hopefully, posters who actually went to a game at Rexall Place will join in this thread. Maybe Det # 1 since he lives in Calgary (same thing). From all accounts, it looked like a loud arena that was smaller and more hockey friendly than current arenas.

Shouldn't ticket prices be based on the product on the ice? This isn't the 2002 Wings I'm coming to watch.

So we can't be a Wild Card because we finish 3rd in the division? Even if the Flyers and Islanders both make the playoffs with better records than us? Strange format the league cornered itself into a few years ago. I'd do away with divisions altogether. Just have two Conferences, no divisions. That would get rid of this quirky system.

I hadn't thought about the difficulty of availability. I figured single game tickets will be available throughout the season, but expensive.

Two problems with that. 1. I'm rather travel with someone (not to mention I'm lazy about stuff like that) 2. I'm worried that Pronger's wife may be right.

Anything is better than that teardrop jersey they used to have. By most accounts, this was the favorite arena of most NHL players when it came to ice quality.

Would be nice if the Leafs surprise the Flyers tomorrow, but that could be asking for much. The Isles have nothing else to play for. Same with the Pens. I see the Flyers getting in. -
