It's also hard to compare him to Dave Lewis, who inherited a great team with loads of Hall of Famers. I could have coached those teams to the division title. As for the playoffs, I'm not sure if Bowman would have solved Giguere and Kiprusoff. It just wasn't happening in those two playoffs for us. -

Too early to compare him with Hitler. Besides, I don't agree that he has an upgraded, healthy team. His best player hasn't played a game this season. If Babcock leading this team into mediocrity was great coaching and maximizing the talent, then you know what that means? It means we weren't that talented and needed to improve. That's the main thing that needs addressing. Making the playoffs and losing in the first round every year kind of sucks anyway. -
I'd never heard of him, but looked him up because of his last name. Turns out he's the son of former enforcer/punching bag, Warren Rychel. Interesting.

They were a good team and a number 1 seed, but arguably the worst Cup winner of the decade, along with the 2006 Hurricanes. Wait, are you saying Chris Dingman wasn't a quality forward?

No regrets. They already had a future Hall of Famer in Drexler, so they wouldn't have drafted another player at that same position.

They probably will, especially if they're not contending. I just can't imagine him going for those kinds of pieces. But you never know. -

Why would the other team make this trade? Jurco is unproven, Helm is injury prone and Ericsson is Ericsson. But yes, we do need to get a top level defenseman. Unfortunately, we'd have to trade one of our important pieces to do that. Not our crap. -

Dude, we've been mediocre since 2009. Too early to tell how this team will finish, but I thought we'd have another battle making the playoffs this season. We'll see. -

The problem is we have too many players who are similar. Small euros who are easy to push off the puck in physical battles. Their speed alone won't help them. On defense, we're just simply not talented enough to compete with the top teams. Too many mistake prone defensemen. -

I'd say he has a 10% shot at best. He'd need to average 50 goals for the next 8 seasons. Nobody has done that in their 30's, even back in the 1980's. Certainly isn't happening nowadays.

Not at all. I only had a beef with him one time my first year here. After that we were good.
