That's a crazy list. I didn't even know Mexico had a team. And how is France ranked above Austria and Germany? Those teams have at least appeared in international tournaments in recent memory. When has France done that?

Why didn't they just give Slovakia a team? Do they want Kopitar in the tournament that badly? And the under 23 team North America is stupid also. Not sure why such a simple format that worked in the past needed to be altered. This idiocy reminds me of modern day WWE booking.

Maybe. Or maybe he would have retired had he not gone to Russia. It could be that he needed time away and came back wanting to finish his career in the NHL. Who knows? But the game over there isn't as physically demanding, so maybe he bought some time and years by leaving. It would be nice to see where he'd stand in the record books, but who cares? Messier is 2nd in points and no one in their right mind would consider him the 2nd best scorer in history. Or Francis as the 4th best scorer.

I wish he played for us. We could add a few more years to his career. Would fit in well with our roster type. I've never been the biggest fan of signing old players, but he's played for every team besides the Wings so I'm feeling bad he's never played for us. BTW, I've never heard that nickname. Sounds like something the model would call him. Is there something you're not telling us?
