How come the Brooklyn Brawler wore Yankees stuff on most of his tattered clothing? They play in the Bronx. Whoever designed this jersey and colors should have been thrown in a prison somewhere in Manitoba.
-
The killer whale Canuck was actually worse than the stick logo, simply because the current colors are better. However, Vancouver should have kept the Halloween colors from the early 90's. Those were awesome. The Flying V was interesting too, but was too corny to last. Here's a question. Since they want to associate with Brooklyn, why still have "NY" written on the jersey? They're trying to keep the worst of both worlds here. Nets colors but keep the NY lettering.

Who is AA? Antti Aalto?

The fisherman logo actually was creative and bold. It reminded me of the fisherman from "I Know What You Did Last Summer". I understood the criticism, however. But you can't deny the attempt at creativity. This jersey is like the black jersey the Stars had recently. Or the ones the Ducks wore. No creativity whatsoever.

Didn't Downey injure Filppula once during a preseason scrimmage? I seem to remember something like that. I hope you realize that if we win the Cup this year, I'm totally giving Rechlicz credit for toughening us up during this time of the season.
-
Yes. He's in the wrong era. Still think it's odd we invite guys like him to camp. Who exactly is he going to fight? Then again, I thought that about Downey and May, and they both ended up on the roster. But even that was a different era, despite seemingly being only yesterday.

If Rechlicz makes the team, I will eat my f*****g flat cap.
-
Hopefully, we can have at least a .500 record in shootouts. That may avoid going on the road to play a game 7. Babcock and Howard had a childish attitude last year towards shootouts.
-
Likely a 4 to 6 seed. If we can make it to the second round, that will be an improvement over last season. Defense is still weak. Green will improve it offensively, but too many boneheaded players back there (including Green). I can't see a team that makes so many defensive errors and lapses in concentration going far in the playoffs.
-
The same "good team" that can't get out of the first round? Cleary carried us in the postseason in 2013. If not for him, we'd have four straight first round playoff exits.
-
The players got tired of Babcock's message years ago. A fresh start was needed by both sides.
-
Well he did get outplayed by the guy with the giant pads. The goals he gave up were untimely. I always wondered how that team would fare in a deep playoff run, but we never got to see it. The strongest teams in the West that year fell apart in the playoffs. This was a trend that would follow for many years to come.
-
Unless you get swept in the first round with that roster. Then everyone laughs at you.
-
If (and a big if) I ever beat Bloodborne, I might give that game a shot.
-
Did I ever tell you how on NHL 2000, I would always put an enforcer on every team I had? I suggest you do the same when building your teams.
-
For me it's the gameplay. The other stuff is important, but not something I enjoy.
-
Can't believe what some of you are saying. Being a Cup contender every year was awesome. Just don't forget, we weren't exactly winning it every year. Teams like Colorado, New Jersey, Dallas and Philadelphia were perennial contenders as well. There was only one Cup to go around. It was very competitive. Rebuilding mode is only fun for video games when you're doing GM mode.

No one will ever top this "monster" design. Unless someone comes out wearing a GWAR mask.
-
Nothing special. The "monster" design has been done a million times. Cujo's was probably the best in that aspect.
-
NHL 2000 had the most bizarre way to score and it always pissed me off. The backhand lob from the point that went over the goalie's shoulder. The other team would do it frequently and drive me mad. Didn't work as well for me when I tried it.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/former-new-york-islanders-coach-al-arbour-dies-at-age-82-163859386.html If Bowman is the best coach in NHL history, Al Arbour isn't far behind. And yes, he spent several seasons with the Red Wings as player.

The funny thing is, I can't figure out if that picture is real or enhanced. He has many such pictures. -
He played some games for that 1954 team, but not sure if he got his name on the Cup.

And you can look like this.
