Unlike the "optimistic" posters here, I don't think this team has a good future. Our top three players are old and are already looking significantly worse than before. Our two best young players can't score in the playoffs. They probably couldn't score with an 18 year old hooker who's had half a bottle of Wild Turkey. Our players outside of the ones I just named are nothing more than 4th line jobbers, muckers and cheerleaders who play hard but aren't going to win big games for us. I don't know much about Mantha or Pulkinnen, but I hope these guys are better than the other GR players everyone here has been raving about for years.

I hope Mantha and Pulkinnen can make this team good in the future. Nyquist and Tatar are just not playoff performers these last two years.

A coach who can change lines would be nice also. These lines have sucked the last two games and he's done nothing to mix things up.

Would be nice if our coach (who's likely coaching his last period in Detroit) would actually make some adjustments and change up the lines (that can't score the last two games). Babcock is too stubborn.

We gave Tampa our best shots already and blew it. Too many missed chances.

How many more years do we have to wait for this "great farm team" of ours to actually produce goals in the playoffs?

Or two. Our most important players have become guys like Helm and Glendenning. It's like having the retarded kid be the starting QB on the team.

Talent is our biggest problem in this game. Not effort. Too many untalented jobbers. I mean we're playing our 4th line more minutes than the 1st line. Kind of hard to score goals when you do that. We all like Glendenning, but come on. He can't be your number one center if you're going to win games 6 and 7 and score timely goals. Because we don't have lots of talent. Chances like that would be buried by more talented players.

That's game. I wish we had someone that could shoot a one-timer and aim it right.

DeKeyser is the goat so far in this game. Terrible game.

I like the way we're playing, but the only thing that matters in this sport is goals. Our stars need to score here.

So long as there's people going to the net, I'm all for it. The one on three shots from the blue line I'm not too thrilled about. This isn't the 1980's.

I like Tampa's attacking style better. They're crashing the net and trying to get deflections. We're just shooting it from crappy angles and hoping something goes in. That's not likely to work. Need more battles won in front of the net.

The NHL needs to take a page out of the NBA's book, and help teams that are good for ratings. Det vs. Mon is good for ratings. TB vs. anyone isn't.
