I'm glad this team finally learned how to block shots and get into shooting lanes. That's how lower seeds need to win in the playoffs. Hard work and sacrifice. We're not talented enough anymore to win pretty.

Should have rigged it to keep Winnipeg out of the playoffs. Bad for ratings and LA were the defending champs. Winnipeg ended up cockblocking. Or don't you believe in conspiracy theories?

Consistency is his problem. That's what separates good from bad players. He needs to continue to play well, not have one good night and then look like a train wreck the next. Hopefully, being benched sent him the right message, but likely not, because the problem with Smith is mental not physical. Nobody has questioned his work ethic or determination. He just makes silly decisions sometimes, and I'm not sure if benching a player fixes that issue.

I'll take a win anyway I can get it. That said, I think we're very fortunate to be leading this series. We got badly outplayed in game 1 and tonight, Tampa's shooters couldn't hit water from a boat. Stamkos doesn't look anything like one of the best players in the world. We still need to pick up our play. But the effort was way better. And Babcock for once made a good lineup choice and benched Howard for Mrazek when this series started. There's no way we'd still be up 2-1 with that sieve in net.

Ericsson needs to grab this Killorn kid and beat him.

Kronwall's playoff numbers are pitiful since he took over Lidstrom's role on the team. Just awful. One goal and four points in over 20 games. Anyone who says he's a #1 should explain those stats to me.
