BTW, The 1977 Montreal Canadiens finished 60-8-12, and that was before the NHL went to overtimes! There's a record that will never be broken.

Except the last 3-4 years, the girl hasn't been hot. But those teams have talent and are well coached.

Here's my problem with that. 3 on 3 is just like a shootout. A silly gimmick to manufacture an extra point. I mean, how often do you see a 3 on 3 in a real game situation? Hardly ever. Why would you have a system where a team that loses a 3 on 3 gets zero points? That would be cruel and absurd.

96.2% seems a little high. Of course if we lose the next game and Ottawa wins, then those percentages wildly jump down by about 50%.

Kenny can't seem to do anything right. Hopefully, Franzen will be back next week and will channel his 2008-2010 BEAST MODE playoff form. Long term? I don't see our season going another two weeks in any case, even with Cole and Abby. This defense is terrible as is the PK. -
Would be a nightmare for injuries and wear and tear. Pretty sure the players wouldn't want to play that many minutes extra during the season. If they do this, they'd need to shorten the season to 70 games (which owners would never allow because they'd lose revenue).

It's not a bad proposal the more I think of it. I too like history, but the current system has jacked around with history already. This 3 point system might be the next best proposal from the pre-1999 system I've advocated.

Babcock has lost his mind. There is no reason for Miller and Glenfiddich to play those kind of minutes. Just bad coaching. Datsyuk was amazing last night. Boohoo. I won't shed a tear. -

Seems like the fans of all four teams think they'll get in. Wings and Bruins fans think their team has a birthright to the playoffs and have too much experienced players not to make it. Pens fans think they'll get in because they have the best player in the world and always make the playoffs. Sens fans think they'll get in because they can't lose to anyone and are predestined to make it. Someone will be sorely disappointed. -
2 points for a win in either regulation or OT. No points for OT loss. No shootouts. 5 on 5 OT. I've been saying this for years and refuse to go back on it. I like the pre-1999 system, ties and all.

And you're basing this off what? Certainly not our last 10 games. We barely won tonight against an AHL team. Why not? We have no chance of ever beating Price. I'd rather play the Rangers. -

Yeah, people here are overreacting. Probably because they haven't seen a regulation win in what feels like weeks. And it was a game where we barely hung on to beat one of the worst teams in the league. -
