Datsyuk would be one of the league leaders in scoring every season if he had a legit winger on his line, not a Cleary, Bertuzzi, Helm, etc. Total waste of a guy's talent.

You're absolutely correct. That description you just typed is the description of a poorly coached team that needs some major changes, starting with the coaching and management.

That's the worst part of it. They better man up and take this game in the 3rd. Otherwise, I'll start my bucket list early.

He scored the goal that helped us overcome San Hosay in 2007. We lost the next series, but the playoff experience that year helped our young Euros the following season when they won the Cup. BTW, Lang was on his way to winning the Art Ross trophy in 2004 before he got traded for Detroit. As you know, our players don't win offensive trophies, so that was it for him.

Every team in the West is rooting for LA to miss the playoffs. They can win any series in any position. Starting on the road, down 3-0, etc. Not a team you want to face.

I agree with you. I despise commercials during sporting events, especially football. Basketball is annoying too, having the last 5 minutes of the game take 30 minutes to finish with all the timeouts. They should limit timeouts to 3 per half. Hockey is great, because commercials only take about a minute and a half and the break between whistles. takes 20 seconds or so. Predictably, Americans shun soccer and hockey in favor of watching sports where there's lots of delays and timeouts. Probably gives them more time to stuff their faces and take s***s.

Just hope it's not a 3 point game and hope the Wings can get out of their coma and get two points.

He was bad karma. We lost in 2007 with him, then went to the Finals two years in a row without him, and then couldn't even make the Conference Finals with him during the 2nd Bertuzzi stint. I'm more upset that we never got to see Robert Lang skate the Cup.

Probably. I guess you could slide Abdelkader in there. I just hate to waste talented players on 3rd lines, though. Tatar, Weiss and Nyquist all benefit from playing on the top lines with good players.

Not Cleary's fault. He's being dragged down by 4th line jobbers as linemates. Wayne Gretzky couldn't score on a line with Miller and Glenfiddich.
