He is the best coach in the league, but we still need to move him. As I've said before, we need someone with fresh ideas on how to improve the team. Babcock doesn't seem to have any fresh ideas with this roster. Sometimes you need a fresh start. And we're not a rebuilding team anymore. We're a regressing team. We've been regressing for 5 years, but the core of this team has been in Detroit for many years now. -

What do you expect? This is a coach that rode an oversized pad wearing cheater goalie all the way to the Finals on a mediocre team. In Detroit, he's coached the most talented team in the league during his tenure. Not so easy to coach when you have no talent and no hot goalie to bail the team out. -

I noticed his positioning for shots was poor in the 3rd. There were a couple of plays where his teammates set him up well, but his stick and body were in poor positions for a shot. -

Yeah, there's always been one or two guys who did it, but blocking shots has to be a team commitment. It's not just one or two guys blocking shots. It was a team commitment from Washington tonight. -

Stop it. This team has regressed for years under Babcock. This year they might miss the playoffs completely. The last five weeks are a microcosm of the end of his coaching career in Detroit. -

I don't blame them. Their captain is shooting the puck consistently from bad angles near the boards instead of going to the net like he used to do. Not much example there to follow. -

Should have pulled the goalie with 5 minutes left. Unless some tragedy should befall the Ottawa Senators, they're getting into the playoffs. Our only hope is that s***tsburgh or Boston somehow fall apart and our fragile team can get a point or two more. -
