Zetterberg's goal scoring hasn't been as good as those players, though. Better all around, but not pure offense or goals. This isn't 2008.

Not this poster. I can't speak for others. If you think this defensive roster is good enough to contend, then I have to seriously question your hockey knowledge. The regular season is one thing, but the playoffs is where every little mistake or weakness gets magnified.

Datsyuk has played with scrubs for years now on his line. Whether it be Abdelkader, Cleary or Helm this year. I don't know how many other top players around the league have been forced to carry such dead weight on their line. I can't think of many. If I'm him, I go back to Russia next year just so I don't have to play with anyone with cement hands.

I feel he'd be better on some other team. He needs to play with a mean streak, but it seems like Babcock and Holland don't want that.

Just admit we're not Cup contenders and stop deluding yourself. This defense and these goalies would make for the worst Cup winners in NHL history. Even worse than Carolina in 2006.

This team has been soft on the puck the entire period. We better hope we get a lot of powerplays to get back into this game. The Pens are the most penalized team in the league.

If he did that to Lucic, this thread would be titled "Hero Roussel ejected for cross check to Lucic's throat" I think Gordie had more than two fights. It may be that only two fights are remembered or recorded somewhere. Otherwise, he had only one fight besides Fontinato. That might be right, but it doesn't sound right. I mean Lilja had way more than two fights. -
You mean the Datsyuk, Shanahan, Draper line isn't forgettable enough?

You know now that you mention it, I kind of wish Mathieu Dandenault retired as a Wing. I guess Holland doesn't do sentimental stuff. He just signs guys to a NTC.
