It's a shame we never got to see the power forward Bertuzzi during his stints in Detroit. He spent so many years as a Wing, but my whole memory of him is very forgettable in a Wings uniform. The team didn't win anything either.

Selanne scored 27 points in 64 games last season. That's not going to set the world on fire. You want to bring back a 40+ player who's been sitting on his ass the last 8 months? Franzen is 35. Did people think he was going to be faster this season, or more determined? His career is only going to decline as it does for others his age. Holland should have moved him several years ago.

Lebda was better than him. He could at least skate and actually was decent during the 2008 playoffs. Hartigan hardly played. Lashoff has played way too many games and has shown no progress. Lilja's name shouldn't be mentioned in that context.
