With this lineup, I didn't. We did get 3 of 4 points. But they need to improve in shootouts. It starts with Howard. He can't let beach balls get past him each time there's a breakaway. And yeah, he played a good game, but still, he needs to be better in shootouts. Whether you like them or not, they're a part of the NHL, and for bubble teams like the Wings, they're immensely important.

I agree. Our 4th line is easy to play against. They don't wear other teams down, especially in a playoff series. It's just a combination of different jobbers with no identity to it. Killing penalties is important, but it's not like we lead the league each year in that category and go deep in the playoffs as a result. We have plenty of forwards who can kill penalties.

I have 5. Deserved some and didn't feel like I deserved others. Haven't been in a flame war since probably 2010 or so. Just don't have the energy anymore. Too many posters I liked have come and gone since then because of these petty internet arguments. I miss a lot of their posts. So for all you people who think I'm annoying now, you're lucky you weren't around here in 2007-2009. BTW, I'm thinking about starting a thread that talks about how much Harold Snepsts sucked as a player and was an overrated fighter. What do you think?

Yeah, and I'm not a big fan of watching these types of players fight. It's admirable, but boring and not good in the long run for star players getting hurt in fights. And yes, I know Hamhuis isn't a star player, but I'd rather watch a heavyweight fight than him.

I've asked this before, but how does this team still operate? They don't make the playoffs, don't have any star players and haven't since Bure, haven't won anything for a long time, don't have any fans, don't sell merchandise nationally? Any ideas on this mystery?
