I don't. But most of that has to do with Carolina. Although a Pens vs. Capitals matchup is always interesting, (like everyone else), I wanted the Penguins to lose.
-
Sorry, I meant Dallas. I wanted to see Nashville vs. St Louis. Those teams have a pretty good rivalry. Also, say what you want about their fans, it’s fun to see that atmosphere in Nashville on TV.
-
None of these teams have won a Stanley Cup with this group of players. Maybe Boston, but that was a different team 8 years ago.
-
I'd be a lot happier if Carolina, Dallas, and Columbus were gone. All three of those teams ruined a more interesting second round matchup for me. I like the Colorado vs. San Jose matchup. That should be a fun one.

I can't watch this series. The Hurricanes jersey is too hideous to look at. I was hoping Washington would beat this monstrosity so that I wouldn't have to stare at it anymore. Please bust out the Whalers jerseys the rest of the way. On top of that, the Islanders have that stupid SUV in the background. I thought they were done playing in this crappy building and moved back to Nassau (as sad as that sounds).

His head got bloodied from hitting the ice.

Looks like two of the refs from game 7 (O'Halloran and Furlatt) are not officiating the second round. I guess that's the league's way of admitting the call was botched.
-
Well, I didn't literally mean there's no female posters. Just not nearly as many as before.
-
Hey, if not for hockeymom, there wouldn't be any women left on LGW. Once upon a time, there were many, believe it or not. After the good looking players all left, that kind of stopped.

Pavelski has a history of diving. He probably faked the whole thing.
-
Unless it's the 2009 Finals. Back to back games, baby! Sorry. I still haven't forgiven Conan O'Brien for costing us the Stanley Cup that season.
-
In basketball maybe. The NHL doesn't give as much playoff rest between games or between series when a series goes the 7 games. Plus, Columbus has already had 9 days since the last game. It's just one of those situations where one team played the maximum games and the other played the minimum. Too bad for Boston I guess. With Toronto gone, I don't care who wins the Cup as long as it's not Boston.

Except for the one he lost when he was at Washington. Those are the players you hate. They always hurt your team but blow it when they play for you. You better have some good hand lotion if you're going to enjoy a series between the Hurricanes and the Islanders.
-
That's exactly what it looked like. Safe plays. Not much urgency.
-
All the division winners lose. Bad news for the NHL, seeing these candy cane nobodies advance over a team with an established star who are defending champs.
-
Washington is WAY too casual in these overtimes. They look like they're shellshocked or something. Not really going for it. Ovechkin is back to floating.
-
After last year, and after starting this series 2-0, and after starting this game 2-0, I expected a lot more.
-
I never thought Washington would be in such danger of choking this series.

That's why it's not a bad idea to mix your scotch with water from time to time.

That was 2013 actually.

There was nothing little about those pads Giguere wore that year.

Those refs should not be allowed to officiate another game in these playoffs. Like they do in the World Cup. Ban them the rest of the tournament. No way in hell was that a 5 minute major. To kick Eakin out of the game for that was absurd. They didn't even call a penalty on the ice. There was a timeout while Pavelski was being escorted into the locker room. After the timeout, we find out the refs have assessed a 5 minute major and game misconduct. I hate Pavelski's rat face and the same with rat face Couture. Can't stand either of these players since we played them in 2010 and 2011. I'll be rooting hard against them the rest of the playoffs, especially since they were gifted a powerplay they didn't deserve. Yes, give them credit for scoring a bunch of goals, but they should have never received that opportunity.

Depends on how you rate him. He's one of the best coaches in the league the last 10 seasons. However, I agree with those who don't believe he's the undisputed best. There's other coaches in the last 10 years who are arguably as good or better. Remember, though, that Barry Trotz was always considered overrated until last year and this season. The playoffs can change everything. Before his last few seasons in Detroit, Babcock was unanimously considered the best because of playoff successes.

Bret Hart is from Alberta. That means they're better.
