We're too soft to compete with this team physically. Howard pisses away what he's worked for the last couple of games. That was weak goaltending. Halak makes a great save on one end, Jimmy gives up a weak one on the other. Story of the season.

Maybe Kevin Westgarth could be that 2nd line center the Wings have been looking for.

Like I've said before, vets like Cleary, Sammy and Bert were brought back just for scenarios like this, where their leadership and offensive contribution would be helpful to an injury riddled team. That's the only thing I can envision Holland thinking. Unfortunately, those guys have done nothing to help while others have been out of the lineup.

I thought last year would teach Holland and Babcock that the youth movement was ready. Unfortunately, it took a bunch of injuries to get guys like Sheahan or Jurco in the lineup. And Nyquist wasn't playing early on in the season, while old fools like Cleary, Bertuzzi and Sammy were getting gametime. It's a blessing in disguise based on what happens next offseason. If it's more of the same, then it's hard to feel upbeat about the future. Holland and Babcock need to cut bait and not feel like loyalty should come before contribution. I do like what I see from some of these youngsters, though.

PJ Stock giving Bieksa love makes me want to puke. Bieksa might be the biggest spotpicker in the league. His wimpiness in that Boston series from a few years ago tells you all you need to know about what a ***** Bieksa is.

Tortorella is such a retard. Did he really think he was going to get past McGrattan and the entire Flames team to get at Hartley? This guy throws a big scene for every team he coaches for. He's always acting bigger than the team. Whether it's his antics on the bench, press conferences or interviews, Tortorella is a guy no team should hire. He's a distraction to all his teams.

Maybe the Flames have nothing to play for, and their fanbase wants them to goon it up. Another reference to Slapshot, I guess.

Undeserved win, but I'll take it. I hope this is the turning point for Howard. Next week is a brutal schedule, and our little babies don't appear to be returning from injury anytime soon. Howard will have to steal games for us, just like last season.

I think Rob Ray can take shootouts better than Zetterberg.

I hate seeing these young punks taking away minutes from a solid vet like Cleary.

I'm afraid all those lost shootout points will be the reason we miss the playoffs.
