Our guys are always out. This team is physically fragile. We can use this excuse every year. Point is, this was a winnable game. They played well against one of the best teams in the league, but the powerplay let them down. The Ducks weren't that impressive tonight. Tatar should have had way more icetime than Cleary. And Sammy shouldn't be on the ice at the end.

Yeah. I would tell you that I wish Cleary had elbowed Pavelski instead. Have you ever watched Pavelski play? He's a diver.

A dive doesn't. Diving over and over and over again deserves something akin to an elbow. Have you never watched Pavelski play?

That's sad, because after last season ended, nobody would have said the result you just wrote is a successful 2014 season. We should do Alfredsson a favor and trade him to a real contender. He can still contribute for a year or two to a good team with top linemates. Maybe we can get something in return for the future.

I wonder if people on other forums have started threads the last two years asking, "What's Going on in Detroit". They used to be good, etc. As for Edmonton, it's pretty much what people have said. They tried going the Blackhawks way of rebuilding, but haven't had the fortune to get players like Toews or Kane in the draft. Their free agent signings also haven't turned out well (see final paragraph). The problem with having a popular former player running the organization is that he gets too much immunity. Lowe has been terrible for years. Also, let's say it like it is. Not many players want to play in Edmonton or live in Edmonton. Neither do their families. This isn't the 80's. There's a lot more markets for players to choose from. Hence, it's harder to lure top free agents there.

I'm worried our team sucks at training and preparing themselves physically, hence the constant injuries they deal with every season. Maybe their Gatorade is spiked with something that makes the bones weaker.

Because he's a diving punk who is a bad example for the game. Cleary is not a dirty player. He just made a careless play being the uncoordinated person that he is.

I'm proud of Dano. He actually gives a damn and increased our fight count. I just wish he did it to Pavelski or Jumbo Joke. Also, I liked what Hannan did, getting up and retaliating. Our milksop players wouldn't have done that. And Hannan is far from a fighter.

I don't buy it. Sharp has always been bitter about getting his ass handed to him by both Lilja and Kopecky.

I thought this thread would be about J.J. Daigneault. In any case, these players should think twice before calling anyone out. There might very well be injuries until the Olympics that would prompt calling Johnson. I remember Samuelsson running his mouth a few years ago at Sweden's selection committee.
