Yeah, they're motivated to play against such legends as Dan Cleary and Kyle Quincey. Like many, Osgood is still stuck in the past. Nobody will care about the Wings when Datsyuk and Zetterberg retire.

People will say it's because we played last night, but that never seems to matter to our opposition in a similar situation.

It's because they don't have a bunch of old men on the roster. I thought last year's playoffs were the beginning of a youth movement, but our idiot GM has ruined all that in the offseason.

We were talking about all the past seasons, not just last year or this year, for that matter. Howard was great last year, but I can't see his upside going any higher than that. Price has consistently been better with worse teammates. Of course, now the two teams don't have a talent gap anymore, especially with Lidstrom's departure.

Howard wouldn't last one season in front of that Montreal media. Price has lasted there longer than anyone since Roy (not the easiest shoes to fill). Also, it helps to have players like Lidstrom, Stuart, Kronwall and Rafalski in front of you, with defensive forward like Datsyuk and Zetterberg. Price has had some good players on his team, but nothing compared to our rosters. Howard has never been better than Price.

Not sure if having those people on your side is a good thing. Those are the same geniuses that have put the league into 3 lockouts in the last twenty years. Besides, are you telling me you'd stop watching hockey if they went back to ties? Does that mean you've only been a hockey fan since 2006? -

LOL. Un-american? That sounds like good old boy crap, which belongs in NASCAR. A tie is an acceptable outcome when neither side deserves to win. Which American sports fan likes or doesn't like hockey based on shootouts? I've never met one. Hell, I suppose boxing is un-American too? -

LOL. Howard is easier than a Vegas hooker, while the shooters are predictable. This team just finds ways not to win games. Bad goaltending and defensive mistakes did them in tonight. Could have been worse really, as the Caps squandered some great chances.

Yeah, don't know why he'd try to cut down the angle while there's a Washington player crashing the far side of the net. Any kind of loose puck or rebound, and you leave the entire net open for that man.
