  1. Yeah, I'll look at it on the next replay. Someone was coming on the backcheck, but they were too late. Don't know if it was Nyquist. Also, I think Datsyuk and Zetterberg were too busy with the Hawks star players, and hence didn't have as much on the other end of the ice. I sure miss having a Draper or Helm playing against the other team's top stars, rather than having our own offensive players doing it. Datsyuk especially looked like he had nothing on his shot late in the series.
  2. I do think Seabrook was allowed into the zone too easily, especially since he was the only Hawk there. Three guys essentially just watching him, and a lazy backcheck from someone to boot.
  3. BTW, would anyone else feel a little worse about winning because of the waved off goal earlier? I'd have to hear that for the rest of my life from Hawks fans.
  4. LOL. You've been reading my posts over the years, Ryan. But you have to be more subtle. Just say that Carey Price would have made that last save.

Who can be sent down to help the Griffins?

Smith. If they want him after that display.

    Hell Yah Wings

I wasn't here back then, but I'm guessing there wasn't a thread similar to this one after we lost in the 2006 playoffs? But yes, next year should be fun. New division and new rivalries. We need to get bigger and stronger if we're to compete with teams like Ottawa, Toronto and Boston. The East is definitely the tougher conference right now and in the future from the looks of it.
  7. Call me crazy, but if we won this series (which we almost did), I would feel like we had a Cup winning team. Didn't feel that way earlier of course, but anything could have happened if we scored that goal in OT.
  8. No. Just never could get over losses. Especially having your season end in OT. Haven't experienced that s*** since 2004. I feel I'll be better at it now, but still pissed nonetheless.
  9. Will you still post here if Flip is gone next year?
  10. I'm just glad I'm not 10 years younger. I took losses a lot worse then. Now I'm fuming, but nothing near what I'd be back then in college. Good thing I couldn't post on LGW back then. You guys think I'm bad now.
  11. LOL. Forget it. You're not worth it.
  12. I thought all along we would beat the Kings. Still feel that way.
  13. Funny that Filppula's last shift as a Wing might be something only less comical than Kopecky's last shift with the Wings.
  14. I wish Datsyuk got into as many good positions as Cleary did in this series. Guy busted his ass out there. Then again, nobody ever covers Cleary.
  15. Something needs to be done with Franzen here. I expect Datsyuk, Kronwall and Zetterberg to return (despite their s***ty series), but Franzen is not immune. I don't think.
  16. I blame Filppula for being completely invisible for this game.
  17. Agree. There's no reason Cory Emmerton should be getting all your good chances in a game 7.
  18. His offensive was invisible. Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Kronwall and Franzen did s*** in this series offensively. Maybe we need to start putting these guys out to pasture, since our young guns actually seem to have fresh legs. The older players just ran out of gas.
  19. Seabrook should have been picked up there. Nobody else was skating in for the Hawks.
  20. Won't relax the whole night, unless we're up 5-0 after the first period.
  21. I think this is the only series in these playoffs which hasn't had an OT game yet. Maybe tonight?
  22. On the bright side, it still wouldn't be as big a chokejob as the 1942 Wings.

WCSF - (6) San Jose Sharks vs. (5) Los Angeles Kings

Nobody watching this game? Pulling for LA here. They have a better chance of beating Chicago, and also consequently, we have a better chance of beating LA if the Wings win tomorrow. Here's a strange fact. If LA wins tonight, there will be 5 teams left in the playoffs who happen to be the last 5 Stanley Cup winners! Don't see that too often. I guess there's no parity in the NHL this year.
  24. I hope this game goes to 4 OT, and Dan Cleary scores in the Wee Small Hours of the Morning. (great song).
