I would gladly trade all those points for him not screwing up so much. How many times has he basically scored for the other team? He was Anaheim's best player in round 1, and he's been Chicago's best player in round 2.

I'm proud this team has played best with their backs against the wall. Winning out late in the season and then beating Anaheim twice, all while facing elimination. I just wish the team wouldn't make it so damn hard on themselves. They haven't made anything come easy this year.

Not sure if you're talking about the same thing, but before we played Dallas in 2008, the Wings had won 12 straight games when the "other" team was facing elimination. That's an NHL record from what I remember. An amazing stat really. Since that Dallas series in 2008, we're 8-10, when the other team is facing elimination. Obviously, a less effective record, but probably more realistic across the board. The team before this generation's Wings was ridiculously good at putting someone away.

For sure. I wish the sequence of wins was different in this series. Then if we lost game 7, we could still save face and not feel like we choked. Instead, if we lose tomorrow, it's a choke of sorts. At this point, either team that loses tomorrow will be considered chokers.

A part of me died when Lilja was let go. Anyway, I've seen about ten Red Wings game 7's or so, and from what I remember, the team that scored first won ALL of those games. First goal is huge Wednesday.

Babcock is a great coach, but he's not the reason we beat Anaheim in game 7. Line combos are only as good as the players who either do or don't show up. If Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Franzen don't show up for game 7, we won't win. Babcock can't turn s*** into candy.

Dekeyser walks into the lineup and easily plays better than our whole defense. Some guys just learn quicker than others. I'm worried about a guy in his mid 20's that looks completely lost out there, despite already playing all season and a handful of playoff games. Some of the mistakes he's making are things they teach Canadian boys who are learning defense in little leagues

I agree, but he should have challenged the shooter better. Then again, we probably wouldn't have scored that 3rd goal if Howard stopped that shot. Just wasn't happening for the Wings tonight.

Just ask them if Derrick Rose is playing in game 7.

Or send the headless horseman out there. I'll certainly take a one armed Dekeyser over a guy who is wearing clown shoes on every other shift.

Was that a high stick? I didn't see a replay of that yet. He jerked his head back, but that could be embellishment for all I know.

I can't remember any rookie who screwed up this much. He's not exactly 18 years old either. I thought this guy was overripe.

We won 61% of the faceoffs tonight. Wish we could win the ones towards the end there. Would have at least made it somewhat interesting.

It doesn't, but if we use that series as example, the Sharks were going home for game 7. So are the Hawks. I still wish this game was tomorrow. Not healthy for us or the Wings to sit around for two days thinking about this game.

Smith is too erratic. Makes some good plays, but is responsible for seemingly all of our goals.

It'd be nice to have Draper playing against Tayes, while Zetterberg can focus on actually playing offense. Maybe Helm could have been used for that role if he were still alive.

I suddenly feel better. Why does it matter what happened in some other series some other season?

Young team nothing. Our veteran players have done s*** in this series. It's just been Howard and the young guns carrying the team. They're not to blame. The experienced players are playing like they're on LSD right now.
