I didn't have any commentary at all the first 5 minutes. Must be some local glitch. Was awesome to just hear the sounds of the game without having Pierre, Doc and Edzo screaming in my ear.

Whatever we do, we can't talk about withstanding the first 10 minutes. I hate that s***. That's how you end up 2-0 down. The Wings have to come out fired up themselves the first 10 minutes, to put this series away.

You can tell Wilbon spends too much time blowing Lebron everytime he dunks a ball, and not enough time watching the Blackhawks, like he claims he does. Total moron.

Interesting to see how this young team plays in this situation. It was different in game 7, because we were also facing elimination. We have to be greedy. That's how you become a good team. Be greedy and don't rely on game 6 at home. Finish them now!

They were tested by the Isles. Much of it was because of Fleury, but they were still tested. One could say we're not being tested by the Hawks because we're up 3-1. It's not that simple.

I don't remember the Bruins and Pens playing each other in the playoffs yet with these rosters. Seems like they always find a way to avoid each other. Should be a great series.

Pens are the favorites to win the Cup for sure. They score enough goals where they don't have to defend well or have great goaltending. If Crosby and Shrek stay healthy, they'll be very hard to beat.

Playing Bickell on Tayes' line at times didn't help either.

I don't know much about Ouellet and Sproul. I'd keep the other three. Smith is one that might garner some interest, and he scares the crap out of me on every shift. Bottom line is this. Can we build a team entirely on lower draft picks, sign crappy old free agents who hardly play, and still compete for the Cup every season? I think it's be tough, especially when Datsyuk and Zetterberg retire, and a new generation has to take over. We'll need stars who can play on the top lines and score tons of points. I'm not sure if Nyquist and Tatar have that in their future. Holland, or whoever will be GM, has to take chances eventually, which means trading away some prospects. Selling the entire farm is crazy, but not everyone at the farm is unexpendable.

It's not hard to find a 4th line PK specialist. Nyquist and Kindl are different. Although I wish Kindl would play like he's 6'3 sometimes.

I don't want Nyquist gone, but I feel we have too many similar type players in the farm who are somewhat expendable. I'd love to see Tatar play if we go on further in the playoffs. He could add goals to some line.

I'll give Babcock and Howard more credit for this playoff run than I will Holland. If Holland planned for us to be a 7 seed that barely makes the playoffs, only to go on a hot streak, then he is a genius after all. But I don't think that's how it went down.

Maybe Quenneville is the reason they're losing. This guy just can't beat us in the playoffs even when he has the better team.

Both goalies were left out to dry in the 3rd period. I don't think we were soundly outplayed at all.

I don't think he stole the game. It was an even game chances wise and shots wise. He was easily the star of the night, though. The defense left him out to dry. Stealing is when your team doesn't deserve to win and the other team does, yet your goalie steals the game. Kind of like Giguere in 2003 or Roloson in 2006. We deserved to win this game as much, and probably more than Chicago.

Everyone is talking about Tayes, but Hossa, Sharp, Kane and Keith have been invisible the whole series. All those guys are choking big time. Kind of like us when we won the President's Trophy all those years, and had our stars disappear in the playoffs.

I will admit it now (although I don't think the series is over)......................I picked us to beat Anaheim in six games. Wasn't too surprised there because I liked the matchup. However, I didn't think we'd win more than a game in this series. This team has already exceeded my expectations and pretty much everyone else's. We'll see how far they can ride this.

Howard was incredible tonight. The defense needs to be fixed next game. Way too many odd man rushed and breakaways. I know it's too early to call this series, but I just hope he has a lot more left in the tank.
