I can't remember too many famous goalies becoming NHL coaches (let alone successful ones). Especially someone with Roy's personality, back when goalies were all a little weird. Also, I think it's a little dangerous to have an organization run and coached by the most popular players the team ever had. Hard for fans and ownership. It's like those guys will have immunity now. That said, I always wanted Yzerman to run the Wings when he retired, but there's certainly potential for a problem there.

I remember someone saying that if they're eliminated from the playoffs, that means Tatar can somehow return to the NHL. Not sure if that's correct. I wish them luck, but at the same time, would rather have Tatar back than wish them luck. He'd make us even better. Fixed.

I wouldn't mind seeing him dressed. I can understand if Babcock doesn't want to mess with a winning lineup, though. But you never know with Babcock. He changed stuff up in the Anaheim series, even when we were winning. My biggest beef is that we're tougher than Chicago on paper, but our guys looked unwilling to oblige yesterday. When Bickell is crosschecking Kronwall or Cleary repeatedly after the play, I'd love to see Ericsson step in there. He's fought much tougher guys before. Players like Quincey, Smith and Abby should also be willing to oblige. We're not playing against the '82 Flyers here, to be intimidated of anyone on their team. Tootoo doesn't take that many penalties. We have people like Smith and Quincey taking stupid penalties all the time. Abby too. Everyone thinks a guy who fights is automatically undisciplined and takes dumb penalties all the time. Same crap everyone said about Downey, when nothing of the sort was true.

Do you think Ian White is worse than Brendan Smith right now? I know they're testing him because he "supposedly" has a great future (I know White doesnt'), but I doubt Smith gives us a better chance to win now. We can't have a sabotage artist playing on our team. We're not the 1977 Canadians to be able to overcome all his mistakes. Huh? He was a train wreck tonight.

They won't call any of their minor league goons up for this series. Not unless there's lots of injuries. Tootoo and Bertuzzi are healthy scratches, if I'm not mistaken. Also, didn't Quincey used to fight once upon a time. Guy doesn't do anything physical anymore.

Every goal Crawford gave up was suspect. If Howard gave up those same goals tonight, I would have crucified him here. So would many other posters. Granted, Crawford isn't getting goal support.

We have as much toughness as this team, and we're backing down. Put Bertuzzi and Tootoo in the lineup next game, and we're "way" tougher than them. Hawks are not a fighting team.
