    You don't want to root for McDavid for the next 15 years? I've said this before, though, the league is very unlucky that McDavid plays in a market nobody in the U.S. cares about. It's really the worst place he could be. If he was drafted by Arizona or Carolina it would have been better, because at least those teams play in the U.S.

    I didn't see Abdelkader mentioned in that article. My guess is his contract is so bad that no team wants to touch it.

    Has any player ever got along with Tortorella? This guy has been around many teams and always acts like a buffoon. Always the center of attention. He won a Cup 15 years ago. Big deal. I wouldn't want him anywhere near my team.

    His health is one big reason not to re-sign him. An older player that's not bound to get any healthier. Was a risky move bringing him back.

    He's a classic accumulator statistically, but he's had a pretty good career. He also has a real chance of breaking Gordie Howe's games played record. He hasn't missed a game in like 9 seasons. It all depends on how long he wants to play.
