Cleary's only breakaway goal I can think of came against Kiprusoff, with a penalty shot in game 5, 2007 playoffs.

I wanted Erskine. He's put up better offensive numbers this year than Smith. This is the kind of crap we've been grooming in GR all these years. "Overripe prospect".

Line combos don't matter if the forwards are lazy and don't have much talent. We have a few great players (who aren't scoring goals) and a bunch of scrubs surrounding them. It's the players that make the lines work, not the coaches. I do think the players have tuned out Babcock the last few years, but changing lines isn't going to fix that.

In a short season, you have to swap all these lines, because you don't have time to let them gel together. He's done it frequently because the offense has been terrible and the lines haven't mixed well for the most part. It's a catch-22 in many ways.

That's what I envision happening as well, although I'd prefer Barca in the final. Bayern has the best overall team, with the best season and the fewest weaknesses. Question is, will they finally get over the hump or will they choke again?

His goal scoring numbers have slowly been dwindling over the years. In his best years, he took a boatload of shots, but had better aim and was good in front of the net. Now, he just throws pucks from crappy angles like the rest of the team. -
Howard got his big contract and he contributed with two goals...............................too bad they were into his own net.

Our defenseman suck at a lot of things. Most notably is the inability to get pucks through the point. Enrico Ciccone was better offensively than most of our defenseman. -

This is all on Babcock and Holland. Tatar should be on our roster right now, especially since we can't score goals. Instead, they put the same old garbage on the ice.
